You know, I keep going back and forth between 285/70/17 and 285/75/17. I know it’s not a huge difference but the irrational person inside me says if I get the smaller tires, I’ll always wonder about the larger ones. But every time I fill up gas, I say to myself, get the smaller tires285/70/17 bfg ko2s, I think it's the perfect size for a 2 door. You don't compromise performance while having a more aggressive look.
I have the black diamond, 2.3 with the manual transmission and I am averaging 19mpg's. I don't regret going with this tire size at all. I have a 2 door black Diamond auto and have been getting 16-19mpg so far with stock 32’s. I’m debating 33 vs 34. It looks good! I have a set of 17x8.5 +35 wheels with 285 ko2's so hoping mine looks close to this.
I also have a 2.3 auto and am getting 19.5 with my 33's. I drive it in either normal and occasionally on ECO on the highway, but that's not often at all.
