looking at Google earth, I thought that looked like a decent trail, but hard to judge how difficult that last little hike would be.

My guess.....it'll be gone before anyone drives off the lot in their new Bronco!

When I read that story I said man f the monolith
Where can I get the job that pays me to ride in a chopper and count sheep?!
Its not worth it man. Too dangerous of a job, dozed flying results in too many crashes.

Only a couple hours from Moab. I agree, that the park service will probably remove it as it will become an attractive nuisance. People in Prius trying to get to it.

Depends who our is, since most of the funds for wildlife conservation come from outdoorsman through the Pittman-Robertson Act and specifically for wild sheep conservation from extremely generous donors who purchase governors tags that all proceeds go to sheep conservation. Five tags sold in Utah this year brought in around $550,000 for sheep conservation. Plus, there are several Wild Sheep organizations that contribute money for sheep habitat and studies to states that are underfunded. So yeah, it is our money hard at work.

It was installed in 2015 so no, nothing alien like. A couple sources found google earth images and it wasn’t there prior to 2016. So it took the installer 5 years until it was discovered

Just what I wanted. They use my tax dollars to take of a heard so the rich can pay to play. Nice!!
