Same.... personal taste but I can't stand the look of the tailgate boxes

You know for me it's not the look, but I have a tailgate table. Not to mention it'll be kind of hard to fit a fridge in the back with a big speaker box projecting inwards from the tailgate.

Very disappointing, and what's worse, they conjure up the same response to every email inquiry they receive. JL is losing customers to tailgate subs and DIY projects everyday. At some point, I will be one of them.

Anyone have an idea on the specs? I found this one from SRQ Customs that has an 8” kicker but sounds like it isn’t a whole lot of base.

You'd be surprised how much bass an 8" subwoofer can produce.

It comes with an 8” kicker. You would still need to buy an amp and the other accessories.

Still haven found how this fits the 4dr lux version since it doesn’t have a place for the factory amp. Maybe order the 2dr version??

I'm considering the JL ACP208LG-W3V3 , twin 8" in a powered enclosure that's a narrow 5 1/8", 35" wide, 15" tall. Called JL and they stated you could stand it up or use as a down firing sub.

Why is there a FoMoCo amp mounted to the Stealthbox?

it is still powering the center channel for phone calls. The 9 remaining speakers are powered by JL Audio amps.
