Okay not bad news for me. Another great reason I got the Manual Transmission! For the rest, hopefully this is an easy fix. Good luck.
Yeah we just got rocks in our transmissions. Nothing a new synchro ring every 1k miles can't fix

Did anybody else catch this little nugget?

"In some of the affected vehicles, the transmission may contain a loose (extra) bolt introduced during the transmission assembly process quality review."

In other words, the quality checker is the one who messed up? Dear lord.

I kinda want to know how an extra bolt gets tossed in just for kicks. Did a robot get programmed for an extra bolt to be fixed in a hole that ended up being in empty space? Ford never fails to amuse me. If I actually had a build date I’d be more worried but those of us in the never ending wait line get to just read of others anxiety.
Was wondering the same thing. Being it says " the transmission may contain a loose (extra) bolt introduced during the transmission assembly process quality review", I would assume that possibly this was something related to the testing after assembly. Maybe a bolt is used to hold on part of the fixture or test equipment but a new operator forgot to remove when completed. Potentially comes loose and gets into the pawl. All hypothetical though. The big question is where is this mystery bolt located and how easy is it to access.

With an 11/23/22 build date and having taken delivery 2 weeks ago, what now?

Guess I hope the dealership contacts or I get an email from Ford……. Ohh man.
Picked mine up Friday (built 11/28/22)...LOL, drove it to work today too. Sweet!

How long would this take to present? I have nearly 3k miles since delivery a week before Christmas? No issues, no noise, no problems.

Wow, Ford's two for two now in the transmission department.

Does anyone here watch American Auto? The company on the show is Payne Motors and they had an issue with the pawl as well, funny show if you haven't seen it.
Yes! We watched that for awhile and it was decent but I enjoyed it because I kept thinking "yep, that's how FoMoCo would do it" and sure enough they started having roll away vehicles not 6 months later due to a parking pawl issue

That became a formal recall not just a TSB
Isn't the way it basically works:

TSB = we have a problem.
Recall = we have a safety problem.

My most recent communications from Ford.

. Cong‍ratu‍lat‍ions on ordering your new Bronco Outer Banks™ 4 Door! (11/9)
. We are excited to let you know your 2023 Bronco Outer Banks™ 4 Door has been scheduled for production. Your vehicle is scheduled to be built the week of January 9, 2023. (11/17)
. We have made an adjustment to the production date for your 2023 Bronco™ Outer Banks™. Your vehicle is now scheduled to be built the week of January 16, 2023. (1/3)
. Since we didn't receive your 2023 Ford Bronco SUV® reservation conversion by the previously-communicated deadline of November 21st, your chance to journey into the wild has come to an end. (1/24)
. Great news! Your 2023 Bronco Outer Banks™ 4 Door has been built. (1/29)
. Your new 2023 Bronco Outer Banks™ 4 Door has shipped and is on its way! (1/30)

In retrospect, it appears that the production date change has pushed my build past the bolt recall, and is a blessing. Who knew that my wild ride with the Bronco would be so crazy, last for so long, and I still don’t have it yet. Day #1 reservation, I held out for the white hardtop but finally pulled the trigger on 11/9/2022.

My MY22 Bronco was blended on 11/16, then chip hold until declared built on 11/29. Been held hostage in Michigan “Awaiting Shipment” ever since. Maybe this explains why. I can only guess since no one from either Ford corporate or my dealer has been able to give me any info so far.

Recall: we have a safety problem.
That is pretty accurate. Generally the TSB are internal issues that get addressed as needed. They don't affect all vehicles so they fix as needed. Recalls generally originate outside of Ford (NTSB)and are a mandatory fix.
