We're all going to have to get @BlueBronco and team a beer after all this.Okay, back from lunch. If you messaged me, be patient and I will respond.
Woah, woah, woah. @BlueBronco, did you think to ask for the Knight advantage from these TX dealers?I emailed my local dealer, which has my early reservation, and mentioned the October deal that Granger was offering, did not mention them by name. This is the response that I got back:
"I got your email and I do not believe we are offering any type of discount that way. Depending on when you put your reservation in here and in Iowa will determine when you get your Bronco. It was first come first serve and Ford has said they are sold out for 2 years. I don't see us offering any discount besides current rebates available. I would love for you to order from our dealership which you know is the number 1 dealer in OK. And when you buy from us you get the Knight advantage as well as our courtesy program for service. Anyone who does not purchase with us does not receive those luxuries. Thanks for your email and im here to help."
58 miles for me. That's a Texas afternoon drive. ?76 miles for me
I doubt it they could or would limit the number of reservations a dealer can take.So I have a question... As more volume purchases around the country start to form, any chance other dealers go to Ford and try to limit the amount of orders some dealers can take? Figured those not willing to match might try to keep the reservations they have.
I've read that and seems to contradict the reservation system. Orders go in through January and then builds are done by reservation number. However this communication referring to volume could possibly mean a lower reservation wouldn't get built before a higher reservation depending on dealer. Very confusing.I doubt it they could or would limit the number of reservations a dealer can take.
HOWEVER, Ford does have a formula about how they will allocate Broncos in each production run to all of the dealerships around the country. We know generally what the metrics are (share of national sales, competitor vehicles in dealership service area, reservation conversion rate, and one other that I can't remember off the top of my head), but Ford has not (and will not) release how they weight each of the criteria. So the risk with a small dealer having an enormously outsized reservation list compared to its normal sales volume is if the "share of sales" metric is weighted very heavily, then it could take those smaller dealerships a LONG time to burn through their reservation list. So a tactic the large dealerships could take is to influence how Ford sets the weighting on the 4 criteria.
And the “luxuries”... those sound nice too.Woah, woah, woah. @BlueBronco, did you think to ask for the Knight advantage from these TX dealers?
Curious if the Knight Advantage gets you a title like Sir added to your name when you enter the dealer?Woah, woah, woah. @BlueBronco, did you think to ask for the Knight advantage from these TX dealers?
In case it wasn‘t obvious from my prior posts, I have officially switched my reservation. You probably clicked on this thread expecting to get full dealership information and offer details. However, as this is the Texas Buyers’ Group, put together by Texans, for Texans (and our neighbors), by way of a Texas dealership, you should have known we were going to do things our own way. If you completed our groups Purchasing Survey, you have already received a direct message providing you with dealership information and a Bronco6G specific email address to contact our dealership. If you did not receive a notification, please message either @Foordbrawnco or me and we will send you the information asap.
Our group will also be sending out courtesy notifications next week to those in Texas and the bordering states making you aware of our negotiations and providing direction on how to receive more information. Now, does that mean that anybody who did not receive a message or is new to the forum is excluded from the deal? Absolutely not, message us and we will get you the information you need to participate. Our group and our dealership welcome all Bronco enthusiasts.
So why not just post up the offer details and dealership information here you ask? Because our group and our dealership want to make your Bronco buying experience a more personable and pleasant one. We want to take out the headaches and stress that can come with a new vehicle purchase and allow the dealership to focus on what you as a Bronco enthusiast want and expect in your new Bronco. We want to put you in direct contact with the dealership so you can receive an offer in writing and personally signed by the General Manager so there is no confusion, ambiguity or concerns about the deal not being guaranteed when it comes time to place your order. It is just how we like to do business in these parts. Normally, we would come to terms and just shake hands on the deal, but this is the internet after all, so we thought this would be the next best thing.
And for those who did not get a chance to participate in our surveys and are curious about the offer, it is a $1000 below invoice deal that will not require x-plan to participate. One last thing, if you find the offer to your satisfaction and you change your reservation to our dealership we ask that you send either @Foordbrawnco or myself a message, or post a message below so we can mark you down on our list for future Bronco events and charity drives.
Sincerely,
Your Texas Bronco Team

I agree, but it is not so much about the work that we put in behind the scenes as a reason for not using this offer as leverage. More importantly, the dealership that probably hold's your current (or old) reservation was given ample opportunity to work with our group and they chose not to. The dealership that we are using has been more than accommodating and has welcomed us in. They are one of the few dealerships that "get it." And they are good, down to earth people that will treat us like family.Just my 2 cents...for those thinking of using the Texas Buyers Group Offer as leverage on another dealership for whatever reason...
The way i see it, these people that put this together spent a lot of time emailing, calling, talking to this dealership and formalizing the offer we have. I think there were several emails and surveys. That takes ALOT of work.
I might be able to get something comparable, or i might not. But I’m not about to spend the time that was put in to see if maybe i can get a matching offer.
A long way of saying, thank you to the people that put this together and saved all of us the headache of dealing with this part of the process.
