Not necessarily. I think the Hellcat pricing will be a limited time probably for the next couple months but they are already made and at the dealerships. The Bronco won't be built until next April and who the Hell knows how bad Covid-19 will be by then. Or on the flip side they come out with a miracle Vaccine thats 100% effective and well never see Hellcat pricing like that again. But at least the Bronco will be built.

But who knows. The point no matter what happens there's going to be uncertainty going the Bronco route. All I know for certain right now i can get a Hellcat for a good price. The other route is uncertain for sure.

A year is a long time to wait for a vehicle that you don't even know if you'll get it in that time frame or not.
Live without regrets. Buy the hellcat! If you aren’t still in love with it when the bronco arrives, buy the bronco..

I like this approach. The Challenger has been around since 2008 and they all look the same (yeah! I said it!). The power is there on the older models. You aren’t looking at some fresh year one model that will set you apart. Get one that’s a few years old that someone already took the depreciation hit on. Then get your BaseSquatch next summer or in a year or two. You can order a new one or buy a used one and have both.

Whichever i chose will be my vehicle for the next 15 years. Maybe more.
15 years...you're gonna have instant regret if you get a hellcat, a ton more regret when bronco B&P comes out, then an absolute avalanche of more regret in about Spring of 2021 when you see broncos rolling around.

I love muscle cars though so I definitely understand the temptation.

I can definitely can see that happening. Unfortunately with all the uncertainty surrounding Covid-19 I can also see the Bronco getting delayed and it getting pushed back until 2022 and then really regretting not getting the Hellcat.

The Bronco is definitely the vehicle I'm most likely going with though. I need the 4 wheel drive and want the Off-roading capability for my life style. Plus I really want to get into Overlanding. I want to explore the beaten path and see whats out there.

I'm looking at the Challenger Hellcat. And yes normally there pretty expensive but right now they have HUGE discounts. You can get a brand new Cat for almost what the used ones are going for!!

No. The $7,800 is already figured into that price.

At the price you showed and the “like to keep for 15 years“, I’ll offer this idea.
Buy the Helcat now and a cheaper used Jeep.
Use the Jeep for off road, over landing, and PA winters.(this will also keep som mileage off the ‘Cat.)
Then in 2023/2024 pick up a just off lease Bronco and sell the Jeep. Coming off a lease, the Bronco should be in good shape, the depreciation is already factored in, and the aftermarket should be getting up to speed on the Bronco.
Then you just need to decide if your going to the car show/strip or the woods/lake on the weekends.

I’m mostly a car guy(350z, modified STis) but always loved early Broncos. When the new Bronco was announced I was looking at GT350s, Used GTRs, M4s etc, but became sort of obsessed with the topless, doorles, manual 4x4 For beach duty. It’s nice to just go slow sometimes lol.

Im keeping my full bolt on E85 STi so I will still have something somewhat “fast” because it would be tough for me to just have a truck.

I would probably go with the Hellcat. It’s a beast and not a mass produced car like the Bronco will be. I hate to say it but the Bronco is a cool topless 4x4 but it’s not going to be “special”. They will be EVERYWHERE for many years to come.

So I placed my Reservation for the 2021 Bronco back in July. Such an awesome vehicle. I've always wanted an open air experience 4x4 and the Jeeps where always too much money for what they offered or should I say didn't offer. You have have to step all the way up to a Rubicon $50k just to get what a Basequatch will give you at $36k

I have so many plans for the new Bronco. Super excited.

There's one problem though. A dark uncertain cloud called Covid-19 looms over us all. And who knows if we'll really get our Bronco in 2021. The manufacturering may get halted and Some of us will get pushed into 2022. Unfortunately I can't wait that long.

So with any uncertainty and weakness the Devil likes to step in. In this case its in the form of a HellCat Challenger. It has always been my dream Muscle car. And right now Dodge is offering like $7,800 off msrp.

It's crazy because its literally the Angel vs the Devil on my shoulder scenario. The Bronco is the Angel because its more practical and will be the perfect vehicle for the Northeast. Plus I love the outdoors, Off-roading and camping.

The Challenger on the other hand with 717 horses and is wicked awesome and available now. I can get it now. And I'm also big into Muscle cars and that whole lifestyle. I've had more then I can count and its literally my addiction. I miss my 2015 Sublime green Scat Pack so much.

Who knows how long we'll see HellCats at this price. Its not a common scenario. Im guessing its because of Covid-19. Ive never seen a sale on them like this before.

Anyway im definitely leaning towards the Bronco but the Hellcat is calling my name like the Hell spawn that it is tempting me every step of the way. How the Hell can I make it a year? I think in need an exorcism!! ???
I would not be to worried about Covid at this point the plants have now been open and working for a long time during the whole thing. (Besides the start)

Get the Hellcat, then sasquatch it with some 35's. Bam, best of both worlds.

But honestly the decision is yours! I feel ya, I've been tempted about some cars here and there, and with the money I'd spend on the Bronco, it opens up a whole world of new car options. I know it's hard to do, but just try to think 5 years from now and which car you'd be happier with. Every sports car I'm looking at like "I could get that instead of the Bronco", but then I realize why I wanted a Bronco so much in the first place. The outdoorsy road trips, the go-anywhere vibe where I won't be completely screwed driving through a puddle in a rainstorm like my current car, the extra space, and convenience of a truck.

Moral of the story, as long as you look back at your car every time you leave it, you'll be happy that you got it. Really no wrong way to go here, both great cars for two different reasons.
