As a guy who drove a 2013 Leaf around for 4 years and now only has been using public transportation for almost another 4 years that “journalist” can shut the fuck up lol. I care deeply about the environment and being in nature, which is why I want a Bronco. I don’t hear him bitching about Van Life people, vans get just as poor mileage as SUVs. So imho that guy can stick his article up his own ass. ?

I’m not a climate denier, I want a Bronco to visit nature before its gone. If I wanted to drive an electric vehicle with no doors off road, I’ll buy a golf cart.

Well yeah I am thinking about that because I am going from a 30mpg Subaru to a ? mpg Bronco. At the same time the technical challenges of making a useful hybrid or electric vehicle for serious off road overlanding are beyond what anyone can do right now and still sell for a realistic price. Also batteries are frigging heavy. Eventually I hope the tech will catch up so we can have cool overlanding electric vehicles but I will probably be dead by then. Another consideration beyond gas mileage is miles driven. Great mileage x many miles driven can be greater than average mileage x few miles driven.
