So how long till we see these pop up on Justin's Broncos?
Very soon! we are working on the 2 door design and he will be our go-to guy to test the 2 door Bronco! He keeps buggin' us for it! that small fuel tank in the 2 door Bronco definitely will benefit from the Pak Rax and being able to carry extra fuel.

@TrailRax can't believe I missed this thread till now. Can't wait to order. I'm hoping there will be an option for those of us without a roof rack. Great looking products for sure.

Ooff😳... I never thought about that! Yes, 2dr options are best options 🥰
2door updates? 😉
We are working on the 2 door Model this week. It may be till next week till we have a finished model. The 2 door version will come very shortly after the 4 door comes out. Hopefully, this clears this up. the versions between the two will be completely different and only carry over 2 assemblies from the many assemblies of the 4 door version.

Do you have a ballpark on pricing yet?
Great idea and use of unusable space definitely picking up a pair if no outrageously priced
That is definitely a good question. The price is TBD right now. We definitely want to avoid any high prices but with current raw material pricing and lack of anything lately, this price may come in a bit higher than what we have available. This is mainly due to the complication of each assembly that we have put together on this compared to the JL or the JK model Pak Rax on our website. This Model is a lot more complicated and has a lot more details in it which will bring the price up, We will still strive to have a very competitive price and keep the customers happy.

We are looking at this full set (both sides) for the 4 doors to be between $600-800. This comes powder coated and with the highest grade stainless steel hardware on the market. Remember, this price is not set in stone.

Awesome point you made! This will work solo, as just the Pak Rax themselves on the Bronco or with the Ford Bronco Roof rack that hopefully will be available eventually! LOL

I told him to just get a fuel bladder for the back and plumb it into the main tank!

Should give you a rough ballpark - this is a set of two for the Jeep JL:

Where is the fun in that? LOL there is very little space for storage so the bladder idea would not work best for his setup. Our system takes advantage of dead or unused space which will benefit users a ton.

Sorry if I missed in the thread. Do you know the weight limit for this option? I'd be interested in enclosed storage attachments and/or fishing pole mounts - either closed tube for fly rods or simple attach points for non-fly rods.

Have a family and dogs to transport so the more storage the better!

Great question! We have not released any weight limits because we are still testing but we are shooting for 80-100 lbs per side. Keep in mind the length of what you are adding to the Pak Rax. For instance, fishing poles on the pak rax will likely block your doors from opening.

We are designing an external lockable box that will work with the Pak Rax and it will have an optional drop-down table.

Great to know on potential weight. That's a good amount per side. I usually just travel with ultralights which are roughly 5 feet in length. If mounted with butt/reel close to back door, it wouldn't stick out much past the spare.

Well... uh... We are doing a thing
Due to popular demand... We are bringing the Pak Rax patented product to the Bronco world. This new world of Bronco is something we can definitely get used to! We are actually on a waiting list to get our Ford Bronco Raptor. We are excited to announce the development of the Pak Rax for the Bronco. Due to its high speed off-road nature, we are designing the Pak Rax to be a bolt-on system that will take on the abuse and speed the Bronco is made for. With the help of @fronc / @froncobronco and @justinbmcbride we are going through many variables and options to develop the best product we can produce. We are working to make sure that the bronco Pak Rax will work with the Ford roof rack and also offer more options to aftermarket roof rack companies to use our mount that ties together a roof rack to our Heavy Duty mounting solution in conjunction with our Pak Rax.

This Pak Rax will be a side-mounted accessory rack for many different options like Gas cans (Rotopax), MaxTrax, shovels, axes, and much more. The version we are working on is for the Hardtop ONLY models. For Soft top owners that are not planning on getting a hardtop, please visit our other thread. The Pak Rax will come in pairs as well for better weight distribution on your Bronco.

Is there something you want to see or want to mount to your Bronco Pak Rax? let us know!

We have created a poll above, please cast your input so we have a good idea of what model Pak Rax for the Bronco needs to be focused on for production.

We plan to use this forum to keep everyone up to date on the newest developments of the Bronco Pak Rax.

The Pak Rax will be "Produced Wild" just like how the Bronco is "Born Wild."

While the spare tire rack is not ours, we will make a shameless plug to our buddies at American Adventure Lab in St. George, UT. They do an awesome job and that rack is super awesome and goes together with our Pak Rax like PB and Jelly!

Great question! This will not throw off any geometry of your top or make any new gaps that will cause leaking (if that was a concern). The whole system works with the body lines of the vehicle and is perfectly engineered to work with the Bronco body.

Also, Keep in mind the Bottom bracket will be bolted into existing bolt holes in the vehicle that will offer better capacity and stability. installation will require the removal of the top but only needed to mount the bottom brackets which can stay on the vehicle.
That part makes sense, but sliding something underneath the clam shell with raise the clam shell, even if it's a fraction of an inch, the clam shell will then sit higher than the other roof components.

With this misalignment, the potential for a leak between the roof panels may increase. What are you doing to address this?

We have Ford OEM files that have given us the opportunity to completely miss/avoid any contact or change in height with the rack. Unfortunately, we cannot say why or where these are mounted because we have kept it classified to keep other companies from copying the design while we wait for our patent approval. Just know that this bottom bracket does not slide under the top. It attaches to points under the hardtop and does not even come into contact with the top. It does not change any geometry of the MIC top.

The way the Bracket is designed is to mount under the hardtop and avoid any change in geometry to avoid leaking. You will have to trust us on how this is mounted. Once we have an install video out of the product, you will see the "awe" moment of how we designed it and how it avoids any change in the height or geometry of the MIC top.
