I like that the rear towers can stand apart. Could I strap something like a 10x10 canopy to just that piece across the top?
It’ll be approximately 48” wide so I believe you can rig something up. Send me what you’re thinking and I can give you a clearer answer.

10/9/22 Update:

What’s up everyone? We’re still on track to have Mark II completed by October 21st as our first “production” rack system. I feel like I’ve shared everything along the way and now it’s time to provide a finished product. Keep an eye on our sponsor page as I’ll begin shifting information. Thanks for all of the input (over the months) leading up to the finished product.

I know you said you lowered the height…is this what the front piece is going to look like? It seems like something more aerodynamic might look sleeker and seem quieter? Or is the finished front going to be less boxy?

It’ll definitely be less boxy and more sleek. Here’s a few engineering drafts on the system. I would say it’ll be 3-4 inches lower as the basket and overall assembly are shrinking.

take a look at the drafts I just posted. Let me know if you have any other questions. Of course everything still depends on lifts/tires that will affect the height. I would assume it’ll be 6-6.5 total inches above the soft top roof.

Enjoy the quick update. We ran a stress test on the new (lighter) basket and I’m excited to say we’re on track for our load capacity goals. This may change once we get the next prototype completed, but we’re stoked about current stats.

Thanks,
Derick

To those in the “Early Intention List” please check your emails. You get the first look at the finished RAKET system. We’ll post a completely installed system on October 29th at the Count Kustoms event.

Thanks,
Derick

I changed the order lol. The full picture of the Bronco is mark 1. All others are at the new levels. As promised we took a lot of excess height from the build.

I don’t blame you. Yes wind was heavily considered and the reason for the newly designed front cowling. With the windshield at 27 degrees, the cowling sits at 24. This will help significantly to redirect. We’ve also added molle panels on both towers to help push wind through as well. I can’t say it’ll fully disappear (with a soft top) but it will help.
