For real. We aren’t plumbers, we don’t spend all day chatting and playing with pex. There’s nothing quite like your boss telling you that you have 2 hours to quickly go run 80’ of 4” PVC in a 3’ deep ditch that’s full of mud, it’s currently snowing and it’s 0 degrees outside. Oh and it has 6 different offsets you have to heat up and do also.

This is why I do service now. I’m too wimpy for that for a life time.

Just a point, really, I've lived in Colorado all my life and never had a block heater. Some of the high mountain valley towns where it consistently gets below zero sure, but generally a waste. And at most National Park campgrounds or nearby hotels there won't be anywhere to plug it in anyway...and you're going to these parks in the middle of the winter?

Same, I live in Pittsburgh (we have 12+ inches now on the ground right now) and I’ve owned many cars here and never once considered the block heater. In fact, noone I know has one.

Does it prevent the key from being used to start the car, do you know? Meaning, if I use the keypad to lock the truck and leave the key inside, could someone cut my soft top, get inside, press the start button and it'd start like normal?

Not sure, but I doubt it will stop the vehicle from being started with a key. Ask your Ford dealer before you buy it. I plan on getting one, but I’m not getting the soft top.

Was glad to see my invoice showed .00 for fuel charge.

I'd venture to guess as gasoline inches up toward $4/gallon when I take delivery, that $41 fuel charge on my invoice will be more like $65 or $70.

Block heater , my F 150 came with one and it failed lost all my coolant half way to vegas at midnight with a 5 yr. old in the truck . Got towed and in the morning bought a rubber plug until I replaced it .
