Not counting company recall issues, has your ownership experience been problem free?

I was scared witless - first year of the model, built right before the Christmas shutdown, then it sat for 4 months in a field waiting for chips.

After all the MIC top issues and delays, I thought it’d be in and out of the shop (or at least have leaks everywhere, but so far it’s been great. Granted, ive only had it 8 months or so (so… knock on wood)

I have had one problem that many of my fellow manual transmission owners have. Essentially when our transmissions get cold it makes a grinding/scratching noise.

Jury is still out on whether it is a major problem or not. It definitely seems like it could turn into a major problem. BUT thus far it isn't clear if any actual damage is happening, there have been no failures reported, and I'm still able to drive the Bronco.

So... I guess I would categorize that as a minor problem for now that could potentially be a major problem that could also end up just being an annoying noise? 🤷‍♂️

For the first 11 months I could have voted no, although I suppose the airbag cover would count as minor. But in the last month I got to join the noisy trans club.

Just trying to see how many problem free. Totally understand there are issues, big and small, but just want to see what percentage is problem free. To be fair, we won‘t count official recalls against the Bronco. Hoping for a high percent as problem free.

Pretty minor issues in my camp. Mainly gremlins: headlight switch mysteriously turning on, MIC hairline cracks, coolant level that drops a few oz. every 5k miles, intermittent transmission noise if the weather is cold.
cracked top, coolant leak and transmission issues. I'm not sure you and I have the same definition of "minor".

-My parking brake switch didn't work. So had no way to active it. The switch was replaced.
-my manual tranny is making that awfully scraping noise when cold.

Roughly 185 of us with major 7 speed manual transmission issues

Thread 'Is your 7MT manual transmission making grinding / scraping noise too? Spreadsheet, Video and all resources for rotational scraping noise in the 7MT's' https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...-rotational-scraping-noise-in-the-7mts.63324/
Bah! Ford says that's just a "small handful of cosmetic transmission issues".... likely due to using the undercarriage wax setting at the touchless carwash.
