Once the oder banks open, which one gets built first?

1. 3/27 new oder placed at dealer with allocations. Badlands, MIC, Sas, Lux, Tow, 2.7, 4 dr

2. Left over order from 2022MY that went through the COVP for 2023MY
at dealer with allocations. Badlands, MIC, Sas, Lux, Tow, 2.7, 4 dr…at dealer with allocations

Do both get built or does #2 have priority over #1? I wonder how many of us will find ourselves in this exact situation.

In this scenario these orders are at different dealers.

Both dealers have allocations and the builds are identical. The only difference is when the orders were placed.

But allocations are not the only determining factor on when the order will get pulled.
How many monthly allocations are each dealer getting?
How many existing orders does each dealer have?
What type of builds are those existing orders? (A bunch of MIC WT's or BB flappy tops?)
To many unknowns.

My humble opinion is that given that both orders are the same then there is no good way to know especially since they are at different dealers who we do not know their allocations or orders ahead of you. Furthermore it it folly to loose sleep over this. I waited a long time to be scheduled and am still a little surprised that a 23 Wildtrak is now in my garage.

The answer should be easy for Ford to make…pull the oldest order first all things being equal.

I am afraid there will be a lot of us who are in their boat once the order banks open again.

Ford should not allow orders with the constrained items until the outstanding orders are filled. Let people order 4 doors without lux or sas. If wheels/tires are the problem then why not switch brands to open the sas option up?

I don't see this actually happening but this is what Ford SHOULD do.

Well sure, but Ford should have done many things differently, but here we are 3 years later.

I also have a 04 element! its my favorite car ever. Its much slower then my plaid S but it is more reliable!
