I've seen a couple of threads talking about wireless android auto. Is that a thing on the Bronco? I have a Big Bend and If I have it, I cannot find it. I know it's first world problems, but it's 2022. Why are we still having to plug our phones into the dash? Especially when they have wireless charging...😒

Mine works flawlessly 95% of the time. Galaxy S9, if that helps.
How do you find it/set it up? I am so lost when it comes to tech.

Make sure your phone is paired to Sync4 and you have AA installed on your phone. Next select phone list on the Sync4 screen, select your phone and choose the AA option. You then may have to finish setting it up on your phone and/or authorize usage.

I have had good luck with AA on all my Ford's but the new wireless version will drain your battery fast and you will have to plug it it.

And if this fails, just swing by your dealer. Its part of their job to go over this stuff with you at delivery.

I used it today with my wife’s Samsung phone and it was super laggy and not near as many options as apple car play maybe I didn’t set it up all the way but I liked apple car play better it has hardly any lag and everything worked.

My 3 year old LG android phone would disconnect when on bluetooth every 10 minutes or so.
I have since switched to a Pixel 5a and it works perfectly, no disconnects.

What apps do you use? I've only used Google maps, Spotify, Waze, phone, and audible on Android Auto.

Same as you but Amazon music and my off-road gps apps like Gaia and onX off-road. I only used android auto for about 30 min so I didn’t totally go through it all but I did notice when I use my phone with apple car play everything just worked better and the screen layout was way nicer.

Android Auto is super laggy and disconnects at will when used wireless. I end up up plugging my phone into the USB-c jack most of the time.
They (android) know it sucks and are working on a new version. S21 plus here.

Samsung Note20 works here. No issues. That said, running Waze and Pandora overmatches the wireless charging... not to mention how hot the phone gets. I now use the usb c cable connection...

Yes, but it's wildly glitchy. Mine constantly disconnects.
I figured it out. I have the LG G8 Thinq and it has yet to come out with an android 11 update.....even though 12 is out now. Ugh......😒
