This is what I have come up with after hours of debating with myself on what i want vs what i need: 2 Door Black Diamond
  • Iconic Silver
  • Steel Wheels
  • 2.7 Auto
  • Mid Package
  • Floor Mats
  • Keypad
  • Tow package
Things I will be installing after I take it home if possible:
  • Fog lights (Preferably Amber)
  • 5 Sets of McGard Lug Nuts + 5 Wheel Locks
  • Maybe Insulation for the top (depends on how loud it actually is)
  • Fluid Film the frame
  • Some sort of rock flaps/mudflaps (Ive been on the recieving end of many jeeps without these in my focus, it sucks)
  • Small Recovery & First Aid Kit
  • Black Aluminum License Plate Frame

That Iconic Silver will look pretty slick with the standard black steelies. Thumbs up from me.

down to two, completely different builds

Black Diamond
Cactus Gray or Area 51
Sasquatch
2.7L 10 speed
Mid package
Tow package
floor liners
soft top

Badlands
Cyber Orange Metallic
2.3L MT
High package
Tow Package
floor liners
soft top

I'm torn on the transmission and the interior packages. I'm leaning more towards the BD Sasquatch w/ the 2.7L because that is more of what I envisioned initially. However, I cannot escape the romanticism of the manual transmission.

Still can't decide on Sasquatch or No Sasquatch.

Option A - Black Diamond; Sasquatch, Mid Pkg, 2.7 TT, 10A, MIC Hardtop in Velocity Blue
or
Option B - "Open Air Themed" Badlands; 33" Beadlocks w/ Mud Terrains, High Pkg, 2.7 TT, 10A, MIC Hardtop, 4 Tube Doors, Ditch Lights, Yakima Roof Rack in Area 51 or Carbonized Grey

I am locked in...
Base, Manual, Switches, Roof Rack, Canoe strap, Anti-Matter Blue.
I get the crawler gear with a true 4X4 that looks like the original Bronco and will allow me to get to and on the lake 20 miles away whenever I want.

Even with the price of the canoe, it will be cheaper than a Sasquatch and it will get just as much attention with that canoe on top. I might even just leave it there on the way to the grocery store. Those tie straps win the front are so cool.

Over time, I will get a different set of wheels and tires, maybe a fridge, a collapsable scissor style charcoal grill that flattens like a folding chair, some kind of prep shelf off the rear door and I will figure out something to do with all of those switches. Any suggestions would be welcome!

I guess Ford made it easy for me by making the decision for me.

- 2 Door manual is a requirement
- I don't want to own a base model at this point in my life, so that puts me in a BL.
- I wish there was a cold weather package, so now I am pushed to High or Lux.
- Been waiting for far too long and not willing to wait any longer = MIC Top & No SAS
- Other than the tube doors, accessories can wait until the aftermarket catches up
- A51 or CG are the only colors that appeal to me

Thanks Ford,,,,, I guess.

Haha thanks! I was gonna go with a51, but seeing how so many people are gonna get it, and how annoyed I am by small scratches on my currently blue car, I think anything besides silver is a bad idea for me :) Your 4 Door BD Sas is gonna look mean!

I am exact same crossroads. Leaning toward the BB build and will have Katskins installed where i can pick exact color interior that I want. My build will be at 42K plus 2K in new interior. If I know I could get the BB lifted a couple inches right away I would pull that trigger. Any thoughts on that?
I've never done or had any experience with doing a lift on a vehicle, so can't speak to that. I do like the idea of having Katskin install. Would love to have the Filson interior.

Today I’ve settled for base squatch V6 floor liners and overhead switches. Aftermarket bumpers when they come to market or maybe fab my own. I think one should be able to tuck a winch between the frame rails and build a bumper around it. Looking forward to when we all have ours and start posting build threads instead of complaint/dream/speculation threads.

No factory accessories (Loss Leader!)

I'm throwing 32" tires and black aluminum wheels on right after I leave the dealership.

Weathertech floor liners and some seat covers to keep her clean.
