They probably didn't have a cover and were trying to avoid rock chips from towing the thing across country.

The two door soft tops are looking good. Being after market only it is a bit of a surprise to see them.

They're only sort of aftermarket though. Bestop worked with Ford to make them and is selling them through Ford accessories

Plus Bestop seems to be able to build tops right now while Webasto sits around with their heads up their own ass...
