ACTION REQUESTED

• Please be advised of a product offering change related to the Ford Bronco Audio System Subwoofer on 2023 Ford Bronco.
• Upcoming orders for Bronco will be produced with a ‘Subwoofer Delete’ option that will be listed on the window sticker.
• Please review the attached Ford Bronco Audio Subwoofer Delete - Customer Acknowledgment Form and ensure that customers taking delivery of Broncos with attached Ford Bronco Audio Subwoofer Delete sign a copy of the Acknowledgment Form and include in the deal jacket.

SUMMARY
The automotive industry continues to be confronted by labor and supply chain shortages that impact a wide variety of components used to manufacture our products. Ford is working diligently to ensure our vehicles are produced and delivered in a timely manner to meet customer demand. In an effort to help customers receive their vehicles sooner, Broncos will have a product offering change related to the Ford Bronco Audio – Six (6) Speaker Subwoofer System.

• 2023 Ford Bronco – Option Code 58E

This option code will automatically be added to affected vehicles. Vehicles with this option will be produced with 6-speakers; however, they will be equipped with a non-functional amplifier that does not support subwoofer functionality. The vehicle will not retrofit.

The ‘Audio – Six (6) Speakers Subwoofer Delete” option will be listed in the Optional Equipment section of the Window Sticker and customers will receive a $250 MSRP credit on the vehicle invoice.

CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGMENT FORM

Customer purchasing a Ford Bronco with “Audio – Six (6) Speakers Subwoofer Delete”” must sign a Ford Bronco Audio Subwoofer Delete - Customer Acknowledgment Form (attached to this communication) before taking delivery of their vehicle. A copy of the Customer Acknowledgment form will also be available for download through SmartVincent and on FMCDealer. Signed copies of the form must be maintained by the selling retailer in the vehicle deal jacket, and Ford suggests providing a copy to the customer for their records as well.

I don’t see anything about the timing of this. I have a 2023 bronco base built (as of 12/6 according to tracker), and I’m wondering if mine will be one of the few to get the subwoofer before this mandatory delete is implemented.

Ford giveth and Ford taketh away.

I plan on upgrades to all the speakers on my high package audio. I wanted to retrofit the 2023 base subwoofer enclosure with a better sub and amp like people have done with the B&O system sub. The $250 won't cover another enclosure in that same area. Maybe a tailgate solution or custom box in the side panel will have to do but we are looking at least double the credit for the subwoofer delete. However, those options will be better than retrofit of the factory box.

it was the first new feature listed for 2023 broncos. All standard systems would come with a 7th speaker (subwoofer). The only other "new" (returning) feature, that i can remember, for 2023s is the HVAC digital readout dial knobs.
