You should have received an email from Ford confirming your order. If not, that’s the first sign of a problem. Your Ford account should have also shown the order.
What if you got an email from ford confirming order but Ford account shows you have no orders or reservations?

What if you got an email from ford confirming order but Ford account shows you have no orders or reservations?
That's actually the correct situation. Only reservation holders get their orders to show up in their Ford account and only if their order was correctly attached to the reservation.

Walk-in orders will only get the confirmation email, scheduling email, built, and shipped emails, if the dealer successfully put in the order with your email address. I'm not sure about the baby picture.

Hello everyone,
I placed my order back in October of 2021. I went in person and gave all the required information that the sales guy asked. He told me there was a long wait time and I knew that, and he would contact me as the build date got closer. 6 months go by and I do not hear from the dealer, so I contact them and even go in person to find out they forgot to place the order.
The sales guy remembers me, remembers the build we did together and remembers our conversation, but for whatever reason does not know why or what happened to the order.
Now the orders for 2022 Broncos are closed and Ive been cheated out of my place in line for the Bronco. The sales guy took copies of documents from me, but now can't find any of them. and he gave me some documents as a copy but I can't find it either.

I don't know what to do now.
WTF? How does a car dealer “forget” to place an order?

This is just a grade-A asshole response.

The ford emails and trackers have been notoriously terrible. And your response is “well you should have known better.”
I gave my dealer my CC for a deposit on a Thursday. Monday morning I emailed her requesting verification the order had been placed. An hour later, I got the confirmation email from Ford and a screenshot of her system confirming same.

We’re all adults here. You want something, you follow up. Send an email. Call them.

No deposit is required….I did not have any deposit required as part of the order process and there are many others who also were not required to front a deposit. It’s a dealer by dealer business decision

If you go to a dealer to have an order put in, you don’t leave until the order is in and you receive confirmation.

My dealership unfortunately forgot to update my order. Originally had rapid red for 21, went in and updated my order again last year when I got moved to 22 after Ford already updated my order and changed me to black. Added Sasquatch, dropped tow, and went with the green color. Just recently checked that order link, notice it was still black, no sas, with tow. Email the dealership and 2 hours later I got a few emails from Ford. Guess it was good I had tow package on there since it was probably a reason I never got a vin.

I think your first clue might’ve been not getting an email from ford.
I don't need an off road capable vehicle but I would like one. I have a truck now, it just doesn't have 4x4. I have money to buy a 4x4, I was just hoping to wait it out and it'd be a Bronco.

I did file a formal complaint with Ford Motor Company and left a negative review about the entire ordeal on google reviews for the dealership.
