Waited 654 days to get her...only to have her taken away by someone else's inability to drive 3 weeks later

Unfortunately 2-door Wildtrak's seem to be magnet's for tragedy - Waited 740 days for mine and it was hit 10 days into ownership by a drunk driver. $27k in damage, but they did decide to fix it. Took around 8 weeks. Currently in the diminished value claims process. Best of luck to you, glad you're alright!

Sorry to hear that. I just got hit by a lady who didn’t yield on a non protected green light. Insurance says 9500 for damage and airbags went off. We’ll see what dealership says. Drove the bronco home, other car was destroyed. No major injuries. Wondering how the depreciated value works.

Once they open it up you will be way over $9500. I would guess closer to $20k.

I've noticed that many police jurisdictions are writing fewer and fewer "moving violations," i.e. tickets. Cops don't want to risk citizens' complaints and the consequent actions from their superiors or internal affairs or "citizen review boards." All this stems from the trendy anti-police rhetoric we've heard the last few years, and drivers are beginning to realize that there is a reduced risk of a ticket if you speed, run red lights and stops signs, all that.

Just assume that everybody out there is a jerk, and drive defensively!

Wow that sucks, especially after waiting that long. We have reached the time of year that people don't seem to pay attention as well or are just in a hurry for no good reason. I just had somebody pull out in front of me making a right on red here in NJ. I had this sense something stupid was about to happen due to the level of traffic so I was already slowing down. If the frame isn't bent, it could be repairable and it might take less time than ordering another Bronco. Glad you weren't hurt since that's what matters the most. Good luck with a resolution but that's a tough break.

I am sick to my stomach. Finally got my baby after 654 days from placing the initial order. Had her for 3 weeks only to have someone think that a flashing yellow turn signal means "F*ck it, go!" instead of "Yield to oncoming traffic". Not sure if it's totaled or not yet. Luckily, no one was hurt. Vehicles can be replaced. People can't. Trying to remained focused on that at the moment.

I had a near miss (Go Pro Recorded) of a guy coming from a left turn lane into my right lane turn lane an dcut me off. Lucky no contact. He waved and said sorry. Funny how my collision sensor went off due to it. Yes, the thought of repairing my Bronco after over two years of waiting would not have set well with me and that driver.

Been there, done that. Fortunately for me, at the height of dealer mark ups. Insurance did not balk at giving me $20k over to find a replacement Bronco 2dr (in Wisconsin). Had my first 4 weeks ish when rear ended, which totaled her.

cringe worthy in the sense that a beautiful bronco got destroyed. Or better yet, destroyed itself while killing the other vehicle. Makes me cringe for you man. Sorry. Most drivers these days are idiots. sigh.

Oh crap! Glad everyone was ok. With the airbags deployed, I’m sure it will be totaled. My 2018 F-150 was hit squarely in the passenger side rear wheel and was the only visible damage but the airbags did deploy. Truck was totaled. There was considerable damage to the springs and frame. Insurance payout was $700 less than when I bought it new in 2018. I think you will come out good.

I’m just curious, what was your light? I personally don’t like those flashing yellow since I never know if cross traffic has a flashing red or flashing yellow.

Yeah. Pretty dangerous if all have flashing yellow.

One thing I've learned in Los Angeles is to never trust the other cars + drivers. I don't even like going into intersections when the light turns green because so many people blow through yellow and red lights, and LA is the land of non-insured drivers.

I'm terrible sorry for your loss, however, and I hope the insurance company can make things right for you. If you're not happy with the outcome, I suggest you seek out an adjuster that works on your behalf, not the insurance company.
