The price difference between a "base" 2020 Jeep.

4-DR: $31,795
2-DR: $28,295
DIFF: $3,500

That's BEFORE a single feature, including what comes standard on the base Bronco like OTA CarPlay, hard top, etc. For Automatic 8-Speed on a Jeep add $2,750.

I know B&P isn't out yet, but Bronco pricing is comparable.

EDIT: Apparently A/C, power windows and locks are optional too.

The question is, what exactly are we sacrificing for that bargain basement price on the two door base? I don't think it'll be anything we can't correct with the aftermarket though.
Your not really sacrificing much, I think it is Ford the is doing the sacrificing. I think the 2 door base price exists simply to grab headlines and say look the new Bronco starts under 29 just like Wrangler

Ouch, when all the other models are averaging around 5-7% more for the 4dr, why the heck is the base 15% more?

yep, that is what I see, the base w-door is a lower profit or possible loss leader to claim under $30K after destination. On the other end the 4-door increase delta as related to the other non-base trims is $1700. Perhaps it is in error as that is the price assumed for the 2.7 upgrade?

Error in Base specifications reported the other day, the 10 speed auto was listed as standard - that might mean they will get around to dropping that $1,500. (?) from the 4 door price.
Someone pegged the Jeep difference at $3,500 - but in jeep the two door is also a convertible, making the price difference about the same.

I like charts... but IMO the chart is a bit misleading if you are trying to gauge total value. If you are purely looking at price difference to go from 2-door to 4-door, a chart isn't really necessary. It's +$4.7k for Base, +$4.2k FE and +$2.5k for all other trims.

I only mention this because I'm going back and forth between Outer Banks, Badlands and Wildtrak to see what will be the best value for what I want and each of these trims includes different standard features and different prices for adding options. Like most of us on this forum, this should become much more clear when B&P is available but even after, I'll probably have a hard time deciding.

The base wrangler doesn’t include Air conditioning, power windows and locks for that....ac is a $1300 option....The bronco has so many more features in the base model then the wrangler does

That's why I'd like to take advantage of the marketing ploy. I'm a no frills guy, so I think the base two door is a real golden opportunity for a blank canvass.

I have to put numbers into a spreadsheet and/or chart to make sense of them. The way the 4 door price curve compares to the 2 door pretty clearly shows that the 2dr base was purposely held low, and the 4dr FE was inflated.

Interesting that each upgrade is $2495. I would like to compare this with the features included and compare that with the cost of adding them through build and price for a lower model. But I'm thinking it should be cheaper to go with the higher models.

I totally agree, I can add 33s to the 16” Steelies for $1200 (for 5 of them) and I’m pretty much where I want to be...maybe the modular bumper and tow package....my ford dealer said they’ll do the tires for me the day it’s delivered and give trade in for the tires that come on the base
