I "accidentally" ordered a Cactus Gray while my dream build is also Velocity Blue. You know what? I have been driving the piss out of it all weekend with no 2nd thoughts about the color. (It does help that my VB has also been ordered).

My advise. Buy it and flip it. GM at my dealership said he would advise anyone thinking about walking away from a res to buy and flip. Or buy it, drive the piss out of it for the next 2 years and trade it in on your VB build. Your money, your choice.

You’ll have to pay sales tax (6.25%) and dealer fees so factor that in. I would just wrap it if your that in love with VB. It’ll be a long time before another one would be built.
With delay after delay, it could easily be a year wait. Not sure about you, but I couldn't do that.

My nearby dealership had a rejected two door BD that they marked up 25k and intend to auction to the highest bidder, so getting 10k will be easy.

Well I’m selling mine the day I get it. Maybe I’ll be back for the warthog. The regular bronco doesn’t check my boxes for $63000.

This is a serious, honest question.

I just got back from the Texas off rodeo event near Austin. Got to try out all the two-door and four-door trims, minus the FE. Had a blast. Highly recommend to people attend if you can attend.

The one thing I noticed is the velocity blue color just struck my eye. I love that color. Unfortunately I ordered a carbonized gray two-door badlands. With the 2.7 L V6, non-Sasquatch. Hi package trim. And the optional bead lock wheels.

Im tempted to just take delivery and sell it, and save my money until I can get a velocity blue model - but I’m also worried that the color will be discontinued or it may take me three years to get a bronco if I order one again.

Of course by then I will probably have a kid and need a four-door.

Curious what others here think I may be able to get for my two-door badlands. I figured if I can make $5,000-$10,000 off the top, maybe it is worth taking delivery and selling it in the aftermarket. But then part of me just feels bad and thinks I should just let somebody else buy it.

Figured the dealer will to do this anyways, So why not make some money. Wait 2 years, and get the one I want.

i’m supposed to take delivery next week. very torn. 🤔
If you don’t have a VIN yet, you can still change colors.

Since you stated this on the forum, I will provide you my 2 pennies.

I would just keep it, and enjoy it. Remember, there are some people on this forum that would give a left testicle / ovary for a vin right now. Being picky is looked upon unfavorably, especially when a first world problem is stated in writing. If you do sell, sell to someone on the Forum, preferably without a ridiculous markup.

Had I been able to get the black painted mod top and have the Bronco arrive around now, it would have checked most of mine. With a 2nd day reservation, there's still no build date. Moving on was the correct choice for me. In 23 or 24, it may be a whole different story.

I see a lot of asking prices 20k over msrp, but I'm not seeing a whole lot of sold prices there.

You can paint it. You can wrap it. I have seen both of those on this site with excellent results.

But you can just drive it and love it. Order another one and when the next one comes, sell this.

I gave up a lot of things I wanted so that I could get one early. It will be tough to let go because I'm gonna mod the shit outta this thing. But I'll probably have a different one in a few years.

Once they get the production numbers normalized, I'll get one hopefully with a hard top. Who knows, maybe it will have a v8. Please, please, please.

Don't sell it now and have no bronco. That's a terrible idea. Use it now, BEFORE the kid comes and changes everything. Drive this car.

I don't like that color either. Put a stripe on it. You know what I hate even more than carbonized gray? The shitbox I am driving right now.

I was able to drive one, exterior is beautiful. The interior felt pretty cheap all the plastic. The engine is plenty powerful, Ford just put the wrong trans and had to detune it quite a bit. When people actually tune them you’re going to be seeing “my transmission blew up and Ford won’t cover it”threads. Ultimately it’s the power delivery that turned me off from my bronco. Ya ya it’s not a nascar and I don’t expect it to be but It shouldn’t have 2/3 seconds of lag before it actually goes.

thats funny. And true. I don’t hate the carbonize gray. I do really like it. I just like the VB better. But you make a good point. If I’m gonna have to get a four-door anyways, may as well enjoy this one.

thinking about driving it around for a few months. Keeping the miles very low. and eventually seeing what I could possibly get for it. I guess it will be a gametime decision. 🤷‍♂️
