I seriously think I will put 30k down by the time I get a bronco. This is crazy but great at the same time...........
Same, I just told my wife that depending on new colors when we reorder that we might move up to a Badlands. We will definitely be paying more down. I'm not as mad at the situation as I thought I would be.

I thought I would be disappointed with their response but honestly having worked in manufacturing this really seems like the best course of action for them. Granted yeah it sucks but hey could be worse at least they’re trying

shit, if you are going to fix it:
offer the MIC in white, with no tint and removable sliders.

Thread is obviously moving fast….I think calling the timeline for a newly designed top “optimistic” is even sunshine-pumping. While I’m quite certain Ford has been working behind the scenes to redesign the top, it seems unlikely to me that it can go from redesign to full production (for the FE’s and already built MICs at the Wayne graveyard) this quickly. Sincerely hope I am wrong. Glad I caved on the soft top, and hoping for the best for all of your MICs.
I think Ford realized early on the top was an issue and started working on a solution months ago. No reason to broadcast that. With no more new vins and to keep the flow, use slower cycle times for better quality tops. Replace the sandpit tops and sprinkle in some production since they are committing to FE production. Hopefully for my22 they'll have the tooling bugs worked out.

Only a few lies, sorry to call them out. To say that there is no functionality problem is hilarious considering how many are already coming apart at the seams, literally.

And so nice to have the affirmation that Soft Tops are NOT affected for those of us now 3+ weeks in purgatory for no reason. Where is mine? And many others built before mine? Absurd.

Apologies if already addressed somewhere here, but thread is moving faster than I can read. Fortunate to have already taken delivery, so they will ship replacement top to my dealer. My question is about the $$ I've already invested tinting the current MIC tops windows? When I saw this announced, I ran to make sure I still had my receipt because I'm usually terrible about tossing them. Luckily it was only done Tuesday, so I made sure it had correct date and stored it safely until needed.
From my understanding, dealers will be removing all glass from the old MIC and re-installing them in the new, replacement MIC

Ford needs to set aside chips for every hardtop bronco that will be built in ‘21. I already know once the hard tops are ready, they will continue to push back builds because they don’t have enough chips.
I hear you, but I don't think that's going to happen. If a chip is the only thing holding back any type of Bronco that could be finished between now and the MIC fiasco resolving, you better believe Ford is going to finish that Bronco. They want to say "despite the hard top issues, we were still able to produce xx,000 MY21 Broncos".

it says you WILL get a 2021 if you have a VIN. Although you may not get it until 2022.
According to the release my22 starts in Dec so all with vins should have their rigs by end of this year... What a long strange trip it's been...

Oh boy, you guys need to learn some reading compression skills.....As for Ford? It will get worked out by 2023....Just in time for my painted factory hard top. I'll get all the fixes, upgrades and paint options before it gets built.
Whats the best thing you all can do? Change your configuration to a 2023 and let the suckers deal with first year problems.....
lmfao, there are less paint options planned. You'll get the same product but it will just cost you more.

I told my wife this was coming after yesterday. I said - I've been on the fence about switching to a soft top anyway because our garage is smaller and I'm not sure how much the back would come off. My order is 99'd' currently anyhow so I figure I could speed things up and kill two birds with one stone.

She said, (mind you she's only rolled her eyes at my incessant Bronco talk): "So what? You can get one of those badsquatch ones sitting in a parking lot right now? You need to wait".

Guess I'm waiting for my MIC in late 2022 or 2023.

So what are the 2-door people supposed to do? Wait or switch to a soft top 4 door? Too many pages to sift through.
