also tried to fit a yeti 45 in the cargo area
No go with the sub mounted to the tailgate.
Definitely would fit on the right side if the sub enclosure was not there.

ended up buying a yeti m30

So the swing gate is designed to swing with the door? Permanently attached unless you unbolt the heim?

Maybe I missed it, but is the swing arm going to go on the new bumper you are working on?

Also I noticed in one of your pictures some tube work and a hood pin. What is the other vehicle in the garage? Yours or your fab guys?

Truck looks good. I really like the look of the 2 door when it is purpose built. I couldn't convince the wife to let me get a 2 door. About a year and a half later I can count on one hand how many times the whole family has gone for a ride in it.

yes the tire carrier is held on to a plate on the tailgate with a heim and opens with the tailgate.

originally built the tire carrier as a stand alone and was going to build a bumper around it.
however started the bumper and wasnt really going with the design.
So back to square one.
The bumper is almost done and then the tire carrier will be incorporated into that.
Along with a bigger heim and extra bracing to hold up better on the fast desert runs

I think you could re-coup a couple of dollars selling good measurements, diagrams, and instructions when you get the whole thing done. Like others have said before me, that bumper is amazing.

Finally got around to Installing the midland mxt275
Using the mountain 2 metal bracket and antenna mount

waiting on some parts to figure out the best place for the mic mount

Adams driveshaft arrived today

My original one tore and was originally waiting for spicer to release their upgraded part.

but then remembered adams makes quality stuff for the jeep.
And they where happy to build one
Took about 4 days to build and ship

Make sure you have a set of these allens
If you plan on doing the swap
And some red loctite

Question for you.

If you keep that bumper as tight to body line, tailgate and rear corners, are you at all concerned with possible damage if bumper gets bent or twisted from off-road misbehaving? Just concerned that the slightest twist or push upward would prohibit tailgate to open or body damage.

Besides that concern, excellent Fab work, and the welds are top notch.
