What’s going on did anyone receive emails? Was it cancelled or is it officially just dealer stock and if so, what the hell?
I’m betting it’s all dealer stock.

Looks like no scheduling again this week - which is an ominous sign. I ordered 12/13/2021 and converted from MY22 to MY23 on 9/23/2022.

Question for those "in the know": My dealer told me 2 weeks ago I was in the next group to get build dates and that we should know that week (10/10) when it would be built. No scheduling happened that week - pushed to 10/17 - and now no scheduling again this week. When I posted what the dealer said to me - people said I was therefore in a "Previewing" or "Preview" status. I contacted Ford this morning for an update and their support said there is no such status as "Preview" on an order - and that mine is "clean" and ready to be scheduled and in their system - but they had no clue what "Preview" meant. Is "Previewing" a real status or just a step before it gets scheduled??

Thanks!
Absolutely false
Mine previewed AFTER I added tow
Then scheduled and got a vin
Then I ADDED Sasquatch

Looks like all the December builds are dealer stock orders? Thanks for nothing Ford!
Source? Or just jumping to conclusions with zero evidence?

Was it cancelled or is it officially just dealer stock and if so, what the hell?
Lol, one guy makes a wild ass assumption and a page later it is fact.

In psychology, the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.

EDIT: And let's be clear...no one wants to be wrong more than me. I've been waiting 800+ days.

I would speculate there are a lot of big dealers very happy with all of the stock allocations they received today that they will charge $20k over MSRP each for. Meanwhile, not a single 2020 reservation holder on this a forum got a production date/VIN today. I’ve never driven anything but Fords, however by patience is running out. If things don’t change soon, my next vehicle won’t be a Ford!

Like many things in life, we are both neither 100% right or wrong. It's a mix of both of us, and i was just trying to be concise, or short answer it.

Here's Why: Ford schedules by randomly stackcing all the dealers like a shuffled deck of cards. This order changes every week. So, ~3500 dealers are all put in a random order. They go with dealer #1, and pull the first order that "should" be built. Whether that is based on priority, reservation date, or other criteria. This is regardless of the order configuration. In a perfect world, this first order would get scheduled, and then they move on to dealer #2, #3, etc, until they get through them all and are back to dealer #1, vehicle #2, etc. HOWEVER, this isn't a perfect world. If the constraints (limited parts) prevent the first vehicle that should get scheduled from being scheduled, they go to the next vehicle, and then the next, till they pull a buildable vehicle. Once they earmark that vehicle, they move on to the next dealer.

So, theoretically, they could have had enough parts to build 1,000 copies of my exact vehicle. But if I was the first vehicle for my dealer and my dealer was number #1,001, and each other dealer before me used all 1,000 available parts, mine gets put back in the order bank till the next week. I theoretically could have been deaelr#1, vehicle #1, or dealer 3500, vehicle #10. The point is, when it came to build my vehicle, they didn't have enough parts to actually schedule it. Being that it was a loaded WT, there was constraints on almost everything. I'm willing to bet it was constraints on not just the Lux and Sas, but also the beadlocks, hoss 3.0, MIC top, leather interior, etc. Especially being a page+, as each page normally holds about 8-10 constraints.

This is where it gets interesting though. If they COULD have built my vehicle, but they didn't have allocation, it would have simply said "No dealer allocation". But it didn't. There was a page + of constraints. This meant that either they had all been used by previously scheduled vehicles before they got to mine, or they never had them to begin with. And constraints could be any option on the vehicle, from color, wheels, tires, axle ratio, interior color, sound system, 2/4 door, top, engine, drive train (4wd vs advanced 4wd), gas tank size, etc. Any thing that sets that model apart from a BASIC plain jane vehicle (White, 2 door, base bronco with no options), can be a constraint. So the lists can be pretty long.

Without seeing the actual scheduling constraint file, we will never know. Dealers are provided this, as well as the field personnel. It will tell you what configurations absolutely WILL get scheduled, what can't get scheduled, what has 0 availability, and what has a 'chance' to get scheduled (30% this, 12% that, etc)

I've personally seen a vehicle with 2+ pages of constraints, and it was a priority 1 retail. Super duty with very specific builds, but we would only have like 25 aft 40 gallon fuel tanks that week, or 45 of that specific axle for the week. It can and does get pretty gritty when it comes to scheduling those highly 'custom' orders. I've also seen the weirdest possible builds that could be built, but the dealer didn't have allocation, and I had to go find that "unused" piece at another dealer (a blank production spot for the next week, for example, that we could pull ahead/shuffle), and transfer it to the affected dealer, in order to get that order built. We shuffled production spots between dealers like it was a 70's swingers party. Always with permission, but it would get tricky/sticky sometimes.
Michael, Thanks for the explanation. I very much appreciate the time you took to better explain this. Have a great day and a week without constraints.

So is it safe to say that scheduling is delayed?
