I have the 2.3L manual. Gauge cluster shows PSI, Oil Temp and Battery Voltage. I've driven down to PHX (from MN) last Oct and my oil temp got up to about 212-215 degrees. Here in the winter months of MN it hovers around 180 max.

My 2.3/7MT oil temp has consistently been around 180-190F since buying in November, and its been a mild winter.

So I wonder what the temperature gets to when towing a 2500 pound camper. Earlier in this thread someone mentioned 250 the fluid breaks down. I would since my temp is usually 205 for trans and I start towing it’s going to get above the 250.
