Does everyone run 91 or 93 octane in the 2.7 in the F150s?

I need a nap. It took me way too long to figure out what was going on in this image.

My Mustang's 2.3 gets 15mpg, this will be much worse
Wow that's shockingly low to me.

My Mustang's 2.3L gets 22mpg. Manual transmission and 3.55 gears, mostly city miles, I usually drive in sport mode and don't spare the throttle.

When I do take long highway trips, I usually reset the Trip 2 counter and can easily get 27-28mpg. (When it was new I could manage a bit over 30).

Hmm that tank size in the two door isnā€™t ideal. Going to be hard getting used to filling up more than once every two weeks like on my F-150 with the 36 gallon extended range tank.
Think I saw a Rotopax accessory listed. Guess weā€™re going to need it.

I had an FJ and got used to filling more often. It's a good opportunity to stretch your legs on long trips. Could be an issue when backcountry overlanding, but no doubt long range tanks will be available in the aftermarket.

16.9... well... it could be worse.

i hope that Ecoboost sure is eco lol
My wifeā€™s 14 wrangler sport was a 12-14 on the highway at best. Hope us Ford folks donā€™t morph into Jeep folks when they add 35 inch tires and all kinds of accessories and then wonder why their fuel economy has tanked. Smiles per gallon, folks, not miles per gallon.

Youā€™re doing something wrong then. Iā€™m supercharged on a 17 5.0 with 750 horsepower and I get over twenty on the highway when driving normally. Driver mod?

I remember there was a fuel capacity booster for the FJ in the aftermarket. It was installed under the rear seats.

I had a really close call once coming back from Moab and passing Denver on the way to Kansas. I was expecting a gas station outside of Denver along the highway. There was, after riding on E for so many miles I was positive I was going to run out. Finally found one and coasted in on fumes. I never trusted my fuel gauge after that. I was on E for a very, very, long time.
