Since the cast casing is really the biggest issue with the steering rack, why did you guys decide to exclude 99% of the Bronco by not improving the Standard rack?

Can't the standard rack's internals be swaped into a better casing just as easily?
The entire housing was redesigned for rigidity and better material overall. The oil impregnated bronze bushings for example. Remember that the standard rack was designed and built for mass production and is still ok for probably 90% of the owners out there. For the 10% that are actually going to go out and wheel these things hard enough to break them, this is their steering.

As far as swapping over your standard rack internals in lieu of the Hoss 3.0, I just don’t see the point. This is an expensive mod either way so you may as well increase your steering performance, which I think is the simplest answer to your question. This particular rack is intended to eliminate all the weak points and give you peace of mind when you hit the rocks. I’m not sure just changing out “some” of the components of the rack would do that for me.

Other than the lockers and gear ratio it would be superior in all ways...imho
I do have a 4.7 M210 FDU and 4.7 M220 gears on the way that scored for $1500 ($1812 after shipping). So, ya, I agree.

Someone will figure out that you can do this for the stock rack and make some money doing so.

Wait, you bent up a Next Venture rock slider while testing? Was there any rocker damage or just the slider? Do you think a frame mounted slider would have fared better?
Yeah it bent the body underneath where it mounts. Nothing crazy and didn’t really effect anything other than the slider bent up. Frame mount is for sure better.

hmmm Exodus isn't too far from Houston.

The only issue is downtime.

Downtime is minimal, about half a day!
wow...impressive...I woulda figured 3-4 easy. That makes it even more appealing, drive over spend the day sight seeing and have a nice meal, and drive home...provided there's no issues found during install.

Correct. We had a lot of practice during R&D lol. It’s a pretty efficient process for us now.

The True Fix for Ford Bronco Weak Steering

Well, after a couple of revisions I can safely say this rack is capable and bad ass! I’ve taken it out a few times and beat the rack pretty hard with every intention of breaking something. I had it bound up extremely hard quite a few times and had zero issues.

We will be getting a limited number of these before anyone else in the initial production run, so if you’re interested then please email support@exodus4x4 and we can get you lined up. Due to the nature of the install and current programming process, we will only be installing these in-house. Ford should be releasing a ProCal option in the coming months though. Once the ProCal tool is available then the programming will be much easier to do just about anywhere.

Big thanks to BigMeatsBronco for his knowledge and help sorting out the programming. We actually learned a ton more outside of the power steering that we hope will deliver some even cooler stuff down the road!
I'm terrified to learn the price of this 😰

I'll agree that this is the best option right now. And 74weld are not known for building middling products. But it would be great to have good/better/best options for those who don't want to drop $5K+ but want something better than stock H1.0. Right now we have the BB fixes (good) and the 74weld (best). Need something in between which would be a complete housing for the 1.0 folks. People are paying $1800 for the BB package. Fair to say they would pay $2000+ for a complete housing to swap 1.0 parts into. Plus no programming required.

The middle would be the H3.0 rack

Fair. But right now that still requires reprogramming with a "borrowed" VIN. If Ford makes that a true plug and play option, that would be an ideal middle ground.
