Not sure if this has been brought up yet, I’m new here but should be picking up my bronc this week. Maybe I missed it , but was totally under the impression the door bags came with all trim levels / were not an extra add on. I want the door bags, as I want to experience my bronco in all forms as possible before it gets Cold here (Michigan). Do y’all think it would be better to try and get them from the dealer or should I search the after market options?

I haven’t heard of too many options. If you want the on vehicle storage you probably have to go through a dealer and get genuine Ford stuff. Not sure if those are even available yet as only the garage storage ones were available as accessories.

I would personally go with the in vehicle bags since they can act double duty either in the car or in the garage.

I'm in the same position as you! I remember that the doors bags was including in all trim levels for 4 doors and 2 doors has the bags for the MIC.

I didn't pay to much attention because I was on the 2 doors train but now that I changed to 4 doors, I had to check the order guide and indeed it needs to be added to your built.

Good to know I'm not losing my mind. I was 100% under the impression that the bags were included also up until about 2 weeks ago. Now I have to figure out where to get bags for my four-door.

you should bite the bullet and just order the Ford ones.. they will fit best and protect them best.
Yep, plus for $350 you are not going to find a cheaper option that is as nice & worth it. That's only $87.50 a bag ;)

I'm only just now realizing that the bags they sell are the "garage" ones. What happened to the bags that strap into the cargo area (for the 4 door)?

Also they seem to be $115 / bag on the Ford accessory website. Certainly someone can sew a rectangle of canvas for cheaper than that.

I'm sure someone can, but that's not going to be a good option for storing the doors year after year. You want the bags fitted to each door so that there aren't any wear points that develop holes.

* Cheaps out on a $350 door bag for a high end 4x4. Pays $100 for something else.
* Drops door while using “other” door bag
* $500 in body work to straighten out the door.

Big fan of “buy once, cry once” here.

Lol the door is pretty much a rectangle and just needs to be supported by the bottom. I don't think we need any high end robotics to fold a rectangle of canvas over. I was planning on using some towels until some bags are available.

Also I'm not sure a Bronco counts as a high end 4x4, which is why I'm getting one. I'd say a Defender or a Land Rover/Land Cruiser would be a high end 4x4.

They've never been included. Just the bags for the hard top front panels (if you get a hard top). There are different order codes for door bags for soft top and hard top. Not sure why.

I can't seem to find the bags that are meant to store the doors in the vehicle, only the Ford "garage" bags.

Does anyone happen to have a link to the in vehicle bags?

With the long forgotten Modular hard top, the door bags were included. I lost that when I downgraded and didn’t pay enough attention. Now with a VIN and in production purgatory, I have no way to add the on vehicle storage.

Ah, I didn't think about that as I was never interested in the Mod top. Bummer.

I just switched to a soft top and made sure to add the door bags for soft top.
