Placed my order for a:
  • 4 door
  • Black Diamond
  • 2.3L/Auto
  • Adv 4x4
  • Mid
  • MIC w/ headliner + roof rails
  • Cyber orange
Dealer told me they've had over 150 reservations and I'm one of maybe two who has no late availability options on my order? Is everyone here getting high trim, lux package, 2.7L, sasquatches?
My build is:
2-door
Manual
2.3L
Switches
Roof Rack and Canoe Strap (later with FP points)
Rubber Mats (from O'Reilly's for $60, not the Bronco branded ones that cost $160)

If you are basic, then I am base, low ballin', cheap, oven cleaner* basic.

Your build looks just fine. Mid pack, and everything else you need to get rolling and hit some trials.

Some of us are just spending silly money (me!), but the modular nature of the Bronco allows for all applications to be considered and met.

Based on what you've built, you'll love that Bronco, so enjoy!

Buying what you want and not overpaying for what you don't want/need might be considered "basic", but I think going into heavy debt for a $60,000 4x4 mall crawler because somebody wants 35s that look cool, is "basically silly". That isn't to lump everybody into this catagory, but many reside in this group.

It is basic to save for retirement, it is basic to spend less than you earn, it is basic to save for kids college, it is basic to drive used vehicles longer instead of constantly being upsidedown on new cars. All of this is "basic"...which is where you should be. Most people aren't basic, which is why most people are in debt, have no savings, and are one small emergency away from financial catastrophe.

I say this as somebody who is a getting a 2dr, 2.3, manual, Big Bend. I will enjoy driving the car just as much as a model costing $25k more. Roof still comes off, doors get stowed away...life will be pretty f$&@ing good!

nah, not basic. my build:
2 dr BB
white
manual
4 cyl
overhead switches
tow pkg.

...and nothing else.

I figure anything I'd want from a high trim i'll either buy aftermarket or just realize I don't want.

Side not tho, I'm probably getting my truck before nearly everyone else with this build.

I have an almost identical order...First time buying an actual new vehicle and at least $20K more than I've ever spent on a car so budget was huge. Got all the daily comforts in mid-package and can upgrade the wheels/tires later on if I really want/"need" them after seeing this thing in person for the first time. Brand new to off-roading so no point in going all out until I know what the hell I'm doing, like and "need"...

Assuming at some point I'll have to hide $ spent on the ride from my wife..."Ya babe, those 35's were always on there"...How do you guys do it?

This guy traveled from Alaska to Argentina in a $5000 Jeep with small tires (which he sold at the end for $5000).

Seems like if he can make it that distance in a cheap jeep, the Chewbacca package with monster tires is not really needed 99% of the time and that 1% probably has a "drive around" option.

Almost, you got Cyber Orange instead of something from the colorblind rainbow
