Just compared by window sticker from a March order to the new B&P prices.

Sasquatch went from $4,840 to $5,240 (8.2%)
Destination Charges went from $1,795 to $1,895 (5.5%)

Isnā€™t that electric vehicle ā€œdevelopmentā€ funny money?
It is, but it means they don't have to offset EV development with profits from their ICE trucks anymore, but I guess they'll keep hiking prices until a no-options base is $50k regardless.

Man, they are getting greedy. I am guessing this mid-year price increase is intended to make the significant price increase for the MY 24 models look like less of a leap. Seems to be their tactic each year.

At some point, they will overshoot their estimates of demand how much consumers are willing to pay. I am pretty apprehensive about the price tag on MY 23 4-door BD w/ 2.3 L and mid package at $50k, but if there are two price increases before the end of the year, it may be a "decent" value for it after all.

And on the heels of getting a $9.2 billion loan from the government no less. Good grief.
Has absolutely nothing to do with Bronco pricing. That's for Blue City and a new battery factory, an investment in the future of building electric cars.

Whether you're for or against electric cars, the fact that Ford is building a factory in America that's on par with what the Rouge factory was in it's day is a positive. In addition to the new jobs Ford is going to create about 6,000; suppliers will also be located there too, Magna already signed on and will be adding about 1,300 more jobs.

https://fordauthority.com/2023/07/ford-blueoval-city-lands-magna-as-first-major-supplier/

Isn't that what we want, the job creators and politicians doing something to bring good jobs back to America? And, to protect us from future supply chain problems by bring more manufacturing home?

As for the increases, two things:

For those who already have one, it's rare that we can buy a car and not see it's value drop like a rock right after we drive it off the lot and these price increases keep our value higher. My $29,300 base price, two weeks too late to get the original $28,500, is now what I paid with modular bumpers, Sasquatch & aux switches, so yea haw!

Second, Supply & Demand: As long as there is a high demand and Ford has to keep closing the order banks, meanwhile dealers have people still wanting to order when the order banks are closed, some with wait lists, Ford is going to look for ways to offset losses from selling 3 years of production at original order prices, PP/PO.

But it's still supply and demand. If prices keep rising and still demand remains, another manufacture will see value in creating a Bronco/Jeep competitor and then prices will become competitive again. And we'll have a third option to push the competition. Who'd like to see an 85 style 4 Runner with removable top? Or a Blazer? Or a????

Geez, not sure if B&P reflects the new increase, but my base that I paid $31.7 is now $37.9.....
Yeah I got my Bronco for 30k. I don't spend big on any vehicles, so effectively I'll probably never again be a Ford Bronco customer.

Ultimately it's the customers willing to spend that drive this situation, social expectations and changing norms probably play a role in the spending.
