I hate the looks of the sas wheel. Looks like an rc car. I wound up getting the optional sas wheel. 10k miles in I get 19 mpg. Lovely package. I do wish it had more torque, but I had to have the stick. I wouldn’t consider a 4cyl auto. The BFG tire is miles better than the Wranglers. I have noticed on some trails I do wish I was the 1” higher, but a lift and 35s are an easy upgrade if i want to degrade mpg, acceleration, noise & vibration management, stopping, and my wallet. Maybe though. I’m in the red. Guy in front of me put 35s on stock badlands wheels. Guy behind me is stock too.

Four door badlands non sas, 33s a/t. Love it! 18 mpg. Not a huge fan of 35s. Excursion in the background also has ko2 33s.
No complaints commuting in it. Hasn't gone off-road yet, but got a trip planned in August.
Didn't think about when I bought it but with the additional height of the sas, I don't think it would fit in the garage.

Sas looks better IMO and gets you the gears if you go for the automatic. If manual, it’s a steep price for some wheels and tires that will be plentiful takeoffs soon enough.

couldn’t be happier with the standard Badlands. Function and form is perfect for my use (daily driver). I just prefer this look to the 35’s as well. Capability is more than I will need. Silly, but just love this thing lol

For those that went the non-SAS route, did you go with the 2.3 or 2.7? Wondering which would be more efficient with a 33 inch tire.
Went with the 2.3L. Was a little worried about it being underpowered..... I was worried about nothing. Thing absolutely scoots in my opinion. Towed 2000ish pounds last weekend and could hardly feel the extra weight.

ohh…I really like the 35s on the stock non-SAS wheel. That looks great. Any idea what tire that is?

Curious what kind of MPG you are getting with the 2.3 in a stock set up... I know, not an economy car but it will be my daily driver so MPGs do matter.

I was going w/ a Badlands non-SAS when I attended Off-Roadeo and drove a SAS the first day. It just rolled over everything so effortlessly that I was sold!

The next day I drove a non-Sas that made it through everything just fine as well, but I'd already falled in love w/ the SAS.

I have no plans to modify my suspension or wheels, and appreciate having a full factory warranty on everything. Regardless, this thread is making me question my configuration, but it was recently built and is in transit to the dealer now!

Looks amazing! When I order I’m going exactly this configuration except mod bumper and still stuck debating colors, but I love the look of sas and it’s my dream car until I’m too old to
Climb into it. Great choice and enjoy yours!

It's my daily too. I get over 20 for two-lane back roads (55-60 MPH) and 18 at interstate speeds and city driving. Better than sticker all around.

That's pretty good for how capable it is. Thanks.

My biggest ordering struggle (like many others have) is SAS or Non-SAS, especially since I’ll already be getting the 33’s with my Badlands order. For those Badlands owners with Non-SAS have you found you’re satisfied with the Non-SAS? I’ve seen the Badlands SAS in person, but still haven’t seen a Badlands Non-SAS in person to gauge actual wheel/tire size.

I’d love to hear your thoughts with pics of your Non-SAS Badlands. Thanks in advance!
I love my Badlands non-sas, have always been impressed with how well it drives. Getting 20 mpg with the 2.7 engine. I changed the wheels to RTR tech 6 on OEM BFG’s and added step sliders from Rockslide Engineering, did lights in the mod bumper to. Honestly you can’t go wrong with or without the SAS on the Badlands trim. Here’s a couple of pics…

I reset the trip computer when we picked it up. It had 9 miles on the odo. 2.3 7M. So this is my avg from the day we picked it up to today.
