That’s going to be a cool build thread. Are you going to start right when it comes in?

You say it like it’s a bad thing. How many engine swaps have you seen that used a brand new motor and trans? There’s a lot more than the motor and trans you will need out of the donor. I doubt even pax uses a new engine/trans.
No I’ll let warranty expire on the factory drivetrain, may get lucky and Ford may grow a pair and offer the V8 by the end of warranty. If not then yes build thread for sure.
Ive driven 36k miles in a year before on my personal vehicles alone so it should not take long to kill the warranty.

.... I mean I guess. But an engine swapped bronco will be significantly less reliable than a stock one. I’d have no interest in one besides as a trail rig or toy, and even then I’d have to wear out the initial engine first.

Let’s be honest though, as much as people talk about doing swaps etc there are going to be maybe a handful that do it, if that. If you’re going through the trouble of doing a V8 swap and not changing anything else with the running gear you must enjoy lighting money on fire. Only way it’s worth it is if you’re doing a supercharger and changing axles/ t case etc.

If you want an example? Look at how many 3.8 liter jeeps have had a swap done to a 3.6 V6. Even though it would be relatively easy, it’s never been done because doing an engine swap is such an involved process (in this day and age) and the only reason it’s worth doing is if you are getting a SIGNIFICANT power increase. Which a NA coyote is not going to be. It will actually be slower than the 2.7.

I think $45k gets your a supercharged coyote. Start saving ?

It looks like they just updated the specs on the website. CarPlay/Android Auto are now listed as standard.

Thank goodness, I don’t need much from my cars, but Apple CarPlay is a must nowadays for me. My last 2 cars have had it and I don’t think I could downgrade now.

The base model actually became alot more compelling after these website corrections. FordPass Connect, carplay, and copilot 360 are all standard apparently. Still need to fix the color availability though.....

Ehh, I wouldn’t go for the supercharger, the base Coyote should be plenty for me.

Really the only issue with any of this is that I plan on going for the 7 speed Bronco brand new. Swapping in a automatic V8 is going to mean I need a wrecked auto Bronco in addition to the F150 for the center console, controllers, and possibly dash display(unlikely).

I think I’m going to go with the blue, I want orange but it’s not worth the upcharge for the color and to be stuck with features I don’t want.

Otherwise there’s really nothing the base doesn’t come with that would leave me wanting more. Well of the available options that is...

The problem with CoPilot360 is that it is different for every model and they don't always put everything in it. They are adding some CoPilot360 features, but not the whole suite.

Correct. You have to go up to the Badlands/Wildtrak trim to get 4A.

I know there's supposed to be a ton of options for the Bronco but in looking at the base bronco sport configurator there are almost no options outside of a couple add ons. No wheel or tire upgrades listed, hopefully we get a little more for the actual Bronco

the 4A is not tied to trim levels or goat modes- it is part of the upgraded transfer case that is available on all trim levels
