the 4A is not tied to trim levels or goat modes- it is part of the upgraded transfer case that is available on all trim levelsAm I correct in thinking that the base GOAT doesn't have 4A and will essentially be RWD around town?

this is untrueCorrect. You have to go up to the Badlands/Wildtrak trim to get 4A.
That isn't a Sasquatch thing? That Ford document is confusing. I hope you can just upgrade to it. I'll be glad to be wrong.this is untrue

that is definitely possibleThat isn't a Sasquatch thing? My guess is that you don't get 4A on most trims unless you get the Sasquatch Package, but that Ford document is confusing.
I hope it is a stand alone option. I looked at that sheet again and it doesn't say it is tied to the Sasquatch. Really need that Build and Price to go live.that is definitely possible
Wheels, tires, gears, lockers, lift are all easy aftermarket changes. It’s really not something to worry about.I know there's supposed to be a ton of options for the Bronco but in looking at the base bronco sport configurator there are almost no options outside of a couple add ons. No wheel or tire upgrades listed, hopefully we get a little more for the actual Bronco
I’m 99% sure the transfer case and M210 differential listed as available on the Bronco is entirely tied to the Sas package.I hope it is a stand alone option. I looked at that sheet again and it doesn't say it is tied to the Sasquatch. Really need that Build and Price to go live.
Let me start this post by saying.. Look, I'm not being a dick here!! But... is auto-4wd really that big of a deal? And please excuse my ignorance if that's not what 4A stands for. I just come from a time where you had 2H, 4H & 4L. if you needed 4wd you either shifted the transfer case on the fly (with those fancy pants auto locking hubs), or remembered to hop out of the truck and lock your hubs before trouble and once again shifted t-case on the fly.Am I correct in thinking that the base GOAT doesn't have 4A and will essentially be RWD around town?
I think so too, but it doesn't say "(w/Sasquatch Pkg.)" like some of the other Sas items. gives me hope.I’m 99% sure the transfer case and M210 differential listed as available on the Bronco is entirely tied to the Sas package.
Lol no problem, I'm not worried about getting 4A just trying drill down exactly what I'd be getting in a bone stock base model. If I chose sasquatch or a higher trim it wouldn't be because of 4A hahaLet me start this post by saying.. Look, I'm not being a dick here!! But... is auto-4wd really that big of a deal? So to me, 4A (assuming it's what I think it is) doesn't matter to me. Hell makes me nervous if I don't know that I'm in 4 wheel when I actually need it. That's all.
I’m actually very familiar with both auto 4wd, and true Body on Frame AWD systems.Let me start this post by saying.. Look, I'm not being a dick here!! But... is auto-4wd really that big of a deal? Well I suppose that works for me then. I was seriously considering the Squatch package just to make life easier on me and not having to have a lift installed later. Throw in the fact that it'll add the front and rear lockers (not standard in Base or Big Bend). Depending on price of course.I’m actually very familiar with both auto 4wd, and true Body on Frame AWD systems.
Its not a big deal to me to have Auto4wd, but I am concerned the non-auto transfer case may be weaker than the A4 transfer case.
Since the A4 transfer case, along with the beefed up M210 front differential are both automatic upgrades with the Sasquatch package it gives me the thoughts that the regular transfer case will not be as tough.
Like you, Auto 4wd isn’t a big deal to me, but stronger components is definitely a concern.
I would suggest calling other places for gear swaps, I did 4.56 in my H2 for under $2,500 including other work. The gear swap alone was $2,300. It should be much cheaper for a Jeep having the solid front axle. And I used a highly reputable shop.Well I suppose that works for me then. I recently did wheels & 33's on the wife's (you know what it is) and that ran me just over $2k. Obviously the bump to 35's would add a couple bucks to that. I also called recently about swapping her gears (3.23's) for something better to tow with and was quoted $2700 to start. So if the squatch package is worth it, I'm all in.
The place I called I've used for the last 15+ years and I do trust them. I asked him to toss a # without going into too much.
