2021-2022 Ford Bronco 4WD 0"-4" Adjustable Lift Kit - Belltech

Thinking of ordering up a Belltech 0-4" Lift.

I'm assuming option #1 uses factory "top hats" as it's much much cheaper?

Is option #2 that much better?

Any company that offers a lift kit that increases ground clearance should be heavily scrutinized. Belltech is not known for off-road suspension. I would stick to the main players in the off-roading market.

I’m not sure how this would work alignment wise. What is adjustable? If you go from 0 to even 2 inches it changes alignment specs. Is it supposed to be like oh I’m at the trail adjust it to 4”. Then when done go back down? Seems very strange. 🤷‍♂️

I stumbled upon this also. It looks like the cheap kit is shocks (50mm) only, the expensive one is full coilovers w/60mm shocks and interestingly comes with sway bars front and rear.

I'm guessing the adjustability comes from a snap ring adjustable perch. The cheaper one would require reuse of factory springs. This would, of course require the ability to disassemble and reassemble coil overs

The question would be are these shocks superior to the factory Hitachis? Are bump stops adjustable and is droop and compression accounted for? If yes it might be worth a look.

Interesting, please post if you find out anything new.

EDIT: Not snap ring adjustable they have stackable perch collars.

Bell \tech website has some more info, does not look fly by night

Belltech Sport Trucks and Muscle Cars

Installation for cheaper kit

26026-888.pdf (belltech.com)

Also, w/ the more expensive kit Each end is available for about $1000 as a full kit it's $2400 and includes sway bars. I'd be doing 1 1/2 to 2" lift, so I'd go without the new swaybars, I'm sure the factory bar would be OK with a small lift.

This is all very interesting and worth watching, looks like decent quality with good tech backup. I'm also waiting see details on the Ford Performance set up.. Belltech is supposed to be available 6-30 and Fords in Q2 ...so it'll be a race.

I think this kit sounds like a solid option for daily and moderate offroad. Shocks have collars on them like eibach or bilstein struts to set your height. Swap over your stock springs.

Please post / let me know if you do the Belltech lift struts - I am also thinking of doing that.
I thought height increase would be from the springs - not the struts.
But these include spring perches for stock springs.
I am guessing if you use stock springs, spring perches and stock struts - the stock struts may not be up for the job?
This video shows the ability to use just the : "Lower Perch Lift Collars, pre load collars, spring pre load spacers.

Q: Does the new strut, mitigate some of the issues associated with this sort of lift - as described in the video?
* Likelyhood of coil bind, bump steer, harsher ride

I can for sure recommend these. Belltech is great quality, some of the best struts on the market. We've ran these on our Bronco and love them.

Over the last 6 months of driving our Bronco with this lift on it, we have not had any coil bind or bump steer issues. As for the ride, it is just a tad harsher than the stock non SAS suspension which we actually prefer. We believe the ride was improved when going to these shocks and handles daily driving better being this way. To compare the ride harshness it is in-between SAS & Non SAS

Feel free to message me with any questions, Id be happy to help.

I would pass and go to Bilstein 5100 or 6100 for the same money. Bilstein are a proven shock. Belltech shocks are a 2 year/30k mile throw away product. Belltech shocks have a poor record on gm truck platform for lift and lowering struts.

5100's are also currently on sale ;)

Belltech got bought out by KW so the quality is definitely up there for sure. The reason why they use a stock top mount besides price is the decreased NVH compared to traditional coilover mounts that adapt from an eyelet to the factory top mount, and keeps the spring higher up in the assembly for maximum clearance. One of the biggest reasons why coilover kits require after market upper control arms is they often use a larger diameter spring that sits lower in the assembly that can contact the arm at full droop. I am pretty sure these are a twin tube shock design so they have a smaller working piston and less oil and gas compared to a monotube design of similar body size like you would see from Bilstein, Eibach, Icon, Fox, or King. Although those guys really know what they are doing in the realm of tuning, I do not think the cheaper kit using the 50mm dampers have the dampening force to keep up with kits using monotubes of a similar price. I think you should really go for the 60mm higher-end kit because I think the ride and handling on the street and trail will be much better. With that said, if you plan to do some real off-roading I think there are better choices for similar money. For around $1700 I would bet the Eibach stage 2 kits with their 2.0 coilovers are almost, if not just, as comfortable on the street and will probably be way better off-road. I am testing them now and they are pretty plush and stable for the money. Or, if you did not mind messing with a coil spring compressor the Bilstein 6100s with Eibach springs for a Sasqautch for around the same price for the set of four would be killer. They are a 2.6" body monotube, and I think ride, handling, performance, and value-wise will be hard to beat.
