I currently have an order for a Black Diamond, but I’m questioning it.
What does the Black Diamond Sas have that the Base Sas doesn’t. Help me justify $7-8k difference.

I went BD w/ SAS because I wanted the MID package with the vinyl seats, wash out floors, tow package and steel bumpers. MID, wash out foors, Vinyl Seats, Tow and steel bumpers were the deciding factors for me. Didn't want/need high package or SB disconnect.

Black diamond is a nice trim level if you are going to use the bronco like a bronco. Like he said above you can get the mid package things like heated seats better radio and power options. Also you get all the GOAT modes on the 4x4 shift dial. You get the rear locker. Better front bumper than the base. Rock rails. Fog lights.

I have a black diamond and a badlands both mid package. If I was buying a bronco to really use it off road and as an adventure vehicle I would get a black diamond.

Leather steering wheel, the oh shoot grab handle, vinyl floors and seats, white letters, rock rails, steel bumpers, additional underbody protection (I think), aux light switches. I'm sure there's a few more items plus the ability for mid package but losing manual offering. When I was a BD squatch order I debated multiple times to just go basemansquatch and call it a day.

I was in your exact position when I started. Ordered the Black Diamond, but after seeing MGV in person and deciding there's nothing on the Mid package I really needed, I went with the BaseSquatch. I did add the Mod bumper and AUX switches. The only thing I sort of miss is the intelligent access for the doors, but I've got used to using the key fob. I took delivery in April and I love the dang thing.

I ended up ordering a Base, because as much as I liked the Black Diamond I was not willing to put up with MGV seats in Phoenix.

BD gives you MGV, steel bumbers, rear locker, much better tires, arguably the best looking wheels, and I think you get some underbody plates.

I kind of hate everything on the Mid package, so that never even affected my decision making.

Skid plates, (you can buy Ford plates for $250),MGV Iif you like that (cloth is nice), tinted windows, grab handle
...? Sas to Sas Base is the way

PS Non Sas it's probably a toss up Base=Value, BD=Performance Off Road. Once the Sas vs non Sas decision is made, it gets easier. I went non Sas BB.

Base is the way to go, spend that extra money on making the bronco your own. I am very happy with my basesquatch. 2.7 13320 miles

Black Diamond, just can't get past the interior upgrades and the rear locker. It is even a bigger difference if you want an auto transmission and the 4.46 gears.

Otherwise it's a base no option with a manual transmission.

Fair question, but for me the better comparison was, especially if you are watching the bottom line, is BD Non-SAS vs Base SAS. Really depends on your use. I'm a desert rat and have little interest in rock climbing - give me baja mode baby! lol Anyway I bought a BD non-sas, adv4X4, rear locker, tow (small trailer in the planning), mid, auto. If I can justify, I can always add bigger tires, beefier suspension etc etc.... if I can justify. All broncos are amazingly capable vehicles - buy what you need. Fantastic vehicles!

i guess if ya want the vinyl seats, rubber mats and leather covered wheel or mid package a BD makes more sense than a BL but a base offers all the capability without the sweaty seats for less $. $7k goes a long way in personalization...
