Brabus? Is it just a rich toy?

I got the courage to try a tough steep climb in my 4R after watching a G wagon make it look very easy. I'd never own one over my current Braptor, but they are very rugged, capable and come with portals. I'd also go for an AMG one over Brabus.

I think only the 4x4squared model comes with portals from the factory.

Quite honestly, it didn't strike me that this one will ever see anything other than pavement; there are a few retired NFL-ers in this area of town and that was my first thought just guessing at their cost.
It's good to know they've got legit bones.

Frankly, I like this ^^^ better.

Swear one day I'll get that one I built, just get a tach throne in as well. Not that I got anything against other off roaders, but if I were to ever get a Benz, let it be as OG as possible

My mother in law just got rid of her (I think) 2017 G63.
I drove it a handful of times and was always happy to get back into the bronco lol.
I appreciate it as a vehicle but I just did not like it.

G class stock is already plenty capable. Contrary to what most off-roaders think you need, 32-33in tires and moderate ground clearance will get you to most places. 3 locking diffs is the CYA.

Most Brabus specs are focused on street performance. Super grippy low profile tires, wider track, a lower fascia, insane tuning options. Still good ground clearance but departure angles are reduced because of the bumper. The Brabus Adventure option is the more off-road oriented spec including all terrains, moderate a moderate lift, overlanding accessories. It’s all a la carte, pick and choose what you want.
