Bronco Alternator (2.7) is MB3Z10346B
F-150 Alternator (2.7) is ML3Z10346L
They sure look the same to me though.

Need VIN. There are two possibilities for both engines.2.7L. Sunk the front left in nice sludge. Iāll have a write up soon. Imagine a straight line from the back right wheel to the front trail sight. All of that was under. Left side completely fine. Iām going to do some in depth research tomorrow looking at possibilities. Havenāt had any luck with salvage yards yet.
Yeah some one website said they had it in stock. Havenāt told me they donāt have it yet so maybe holding out some hope its sitting on a rack in their parts dept. Worst case scenario I get my money back and no part. Best case scenario I get my bronco back much earlier.
Different amp ratings?Need VIN. There are two possibilities for both engines.
It usually says in the notes but assume that's no longer the easiest way to do it.Different amp ratings?
2.7 F-150, I vote no. F150 is about $300.00 more than Bronco. Might some of the guts interchange, possibly but would hate to spend $700.00 just for a dissection.@flip can confirm but I don't think the F150 part works, at least officially. What exactly is dying in these alternators? I put my 93 Bronco in every mud hole in central Arkansas for 5 years and never lost an alternator.
Eh, it's okay, I went into Ford for parts this morning and what I needed are all out of production entirely. If it were the same alternator.. it wouldn't be on national backorder my friend.
Are both 2.7 versions on backorder? Maybe the one that doesn't match his VIN will still work.Need VIN. There are two possibilities for both engines.
There are 9 MB3Z-10346-J available at the National depot in Det.Are both 2.7 versions on backorder? Maybe the one that doesn't match his VIN will still work.

Interesting. Dealer told me my P/N was ā MB3Z10346BāThere are 9 MB3Z-10346-J available at the National depot in Det.
That is correct for your application. The -J is the other possibility, likely for something that is a lower trim level and no overhead upfitter switches. Now, if they said the correct alternator was back ordered for months and this was a customer pay repair, I'd try the -J just to get going. I can't tell you if the only difference is idle and total output but it that's sorta what it looks like.Interesting. Dealer told me my P/N was ā MB3Z10346Bā
Is there anyway to break this down to trim level? were we can look at different alternator without going thru ford.Because, we need 4 different alternator versions instead of 2. Mullaly would be sooooooo happy to see they went back to their old ways.
Veering off course a bit, but years back his daughter went to college near me and we went out once. She drove an Acura though so it never would have worked out.Because, we need 4 different alternator versions instead of 2. Mullaly would be sooooooo happy to see they went back to their old ways.
