If more people would bail, they MIGHT get the message… I’m almost to that point too…It cost them at least my Bronco. I wanted a mod top… when that got pushed to 2023, I considered a MIC top, and when that had issues, I bailed and bought a used FJ Cruiser.
Hmmm.... Just joined. Two messages. And not many important details...Greetings all,
Just back from the dealer (1-29-2022), after ordering my 4-door OBX and I was informed that Ford, for the time being, will no longer aloow orders for Broncos with the MIC, Molded In Color Hardtop on both 2 and 4 door Broncos. Evidently, FoMoCo is having major fitment issues, so that option is discontinued till Design can fix the fitment issue. I had to order mine with the soft top, or no order at all.
North Central Florida - very cold tonight. I expect it to be 20 or less on the farm. It hasn't been this cold for several years. We usually get one or two hard freezes per winter, and this is the first real hard freeze we've had so far this winter. It will be in the 30s throughout the state and in the 20s in my area and north.Where are you in Florida? I’m heading down to my place on Marco Island tomorrow?

That’s one of the things I like about Marco, it’s in the tropical trade zone. Extremely rare that it gets that cold. It’s beautiful up by you also. I love the farms and rolling hills. It reminds me of upstate NY in some ways. Be well.North Central Florida - very cold tonight. I expect it to be 20 or less on the farm. It hasn't been this cold for several years. Nah, yeah, sure you are...LOL When every hard top made has to be replaced you don’t have to be an expert, not to mention the numerous threads detailing the shit quality.
maybe I am a “manufacturing expert,” last I checked my occupation wasn’t in my profile.

It's the two extra cupholders that make the 2 door constrained! So I remember early on when I was ordering at the beginning of 2021, the 2-door was always a constraint for producibility. I never understood why, thinking the floor pan is different between the 2 and 4 door models and that's about it. Interior is mostly the same. So it seems the 2-door constraint has always been the hard top availability. The MIC is just a hard part to produce in large quantities with a low-loss rate (in production terms "shrinkage").

You’re very right to be cautious. It has not been confirmed yet to my knowledgeIn theory that's correct, but has there been a formal announcement made by Ford that 99'd reservations will be automatically forwarded to MY23 as was done for MY21 to MY22? I have a second order (7/14/20 reservation) on 99 in the hopes of letting it roll into MY23 to get a MOD top (assuming it is ready by then), but haven't seen anything official yet confirming Ford will allow 99s to ride another year. For sure some orders may get pushed to MY23 for various commodity constraints like this last time around, but that is different. Please correct me if I missed an announcement, it would be good news if it has been confirmed.
