All orders will be placed in Dec/January 2020/2021 if they slip to 2022 we will then wait for the order information to come out and reorder then...
@Granger Ford so we should also be expecting the email regarding ordering?

Everyone just give Albert time. If you don't see an email by Monday, then i would be asking where it is.

Threy have no idea how many they'll actually need to build. It doesn't seem that confusing at all.

Ford can build X amount of Broncos in the allotted time for MY21. Reservations far exceed that number, but until they're an actual order they've got no idea who gets what. There's only reservations for MY21, and if they only convert a small number of reservtions to actual orders everyone could end up with a MY21(unlikely, but possible). There's no way to reserve a MY22 at this point. They just braced people for the possibility that their MY21 could get pushed to a 22 based on demand.

That's how I read all this at least.

Cool. You fixed it. Nobody else will make that post anymore. (y)

j/k
Yup. Just like that first person at the office that does a "Reply All" to an errant mass email telling everyone not to "Reply All" puts the whole thing to rest. :ROFLMAO:

Love the talking heads/David Byrne reference

"Watch out - you might get what you're after
Cool babies - strange but not a stranger
I'm an ordinary guy
Burning down the house "

Great music!!! had to listen to that song just now ?

I may be misunderstanding something, but this says that half of the allocation formula is:

"Competitive reservations and your Ford retail sales as a percentage of the nation"

If Ford can meet all of the 2021 demands then we have no issues but if they can't then to me those with reservations at dealerships with long lines will be screwed or delayed because the dealer may not receive enough allocation to fulfill their entire list.

I was half joking above, but what am I missing?

There is nothing in the language of that memo that tells us what the actual formula is. This coupled with the fact that we have no idea a specific dealer's conversions, or market share numbers, means that there is no way to know what answer the allocation formula will split out for any specific dealer.

For all we know the formula works in a way that a dealer with long lines may be awarded *more* allocations than orders placed.... since they obviously have the ability to sell Broncos easily and quickly.

My point isn't that I don't think we should all be prepared for a long wait for our bronco... it's that trying to surmise what impact the formula will have on specific dealer is a fool's errand.

But that's all just my humble opinion.

Ron Swanson is a fictional character. The actor that plays him is Nick Offerman. His wife, pictured above, is Megan Mullaly.
I’m aware, but that’s how 90% of people know him.

I thought Ford was only filling 50% of each dealers allocation
It doesn't actually say that anywhere.

Some people have misread the dealer memo to think it says that, but it doesn't.

(It says that the "Reservations account for 50% of the Formula"... but some people have read this to mean the "Allocation is 50% of Reservations")
