There's your problem, or at least a symptom. The oil level (with 7.5 quart factory fill) should be at about your thumb, halfway up the twist. Factory shorted it about 2 quarts

Thank you! When I opened in the morning to check oil I didnt see anything loose or moving about that would make that knocking noise… I havent had it in my possession since they towed it 9/26…. I have another video and you can hear the knocking from 30 plus feet and 2 stories up. You can start to hear the whine as I pull out of driveway to go the short distance home. Thats when the whine started to overtake the knock when I was pulling in my driveway.
I am glad they recorded prior so you can see no knocking noise— it sounds like a galloping horse to me. It was so loud when I came out the back door of the house I was saying man does someone’s car sound bad…. joke is on me it was mine. They checked everything nothing is rubbing or hitting. They are waiting on Ford to allow them to do more then stethoscope as the loudest noise seems to be coming from transmission pump area but they have to drop transmission to check it.

Galloping horse sound was discussed months ago and might be by design coming through speakers pointed to outside

Did the first video sound to you like a galloping horse? Sounded to me like an engine knocking. The other video was to show how loud the knocking could be heard. What the heck are you talking about speakers pointed outside? oy I can guarantee up
close its the engine.

You are the one in post #9 saying

" I am glad they recorded prior so you can see no knocking noise— it sounds like a galloping horse to me. "

And you are too new around here to have been exposed to the multiple dipsticks and is it 7 quarts or 6 for a proper oil change and that even with 6 quarts and supposed correct stick that from the factory the oil level would be partway up the twist. from that scenario your engine would appear to be oil starved - which as others have said can cause noise from under lubricated moving parts.

The cynic in me says drive it until it actually breaks but you are stuck now unable to drive it and any day without a Bronco is a bad day

Ok, hold on here. 6 qts of oil should put the lone right at the top hole/hash on either official dip stick.

Getting into the twist requires 7 qts (or the factory fill of 7.5 qts)

The shop the OP shows has his oil to the 2nd hole...this is correct per Ford's newest 6 qt revision.

As for the knocking..... Rod knock or possibly the torque converter bolts not tight and hitting. (Automatic yes?)

Hello from Atlantic City NJ area. I took delivery of my 2021 order on 9/24/22, a 2022 Wildtrack in Eruption Green with 2.7. After 9 hours of ownership and 60 miles it had to be towed to dealer. I came out to it after a remote start and it have a horrible knocking sound… can even hear it from 2nd story camera thats 30’ away. It has been at dealer for 10 days now and I am getting nowhere with getting answers as to what is going on. The knocking has turned into a super high pitch whine that dealer has told me is getting worse since they got it there, but unfortunately they can’t get knocking to replicate. I have searched the forum and nothing comes up if anyone has had this issue or can point me to right thread (if one exists) I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi there, Anne Marie! I can look into your Bronco's concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Bronco's VIN?

does it follow engine rpm when in neutral?

I feel like it's going to be something shocking, or you need a new engine. When I hear noise from an engine and then a high-pitched noise I think of bearings spinning on the crank.
It’s been at the dealer and they did a virtual inspection with engineer.. They are now authorized to drop transmission to investigate but initial thoughts are both of the pumps that sit up top of transmission in bell housing area are making the noise. So I wait for them to now dig further….

Please keep us updated( see attached video) my 2022 I picked up only 2 weeks ago is also knocking just like yours. No whining, just knocking. It DOES follow with the RPM. Faster RPM, knock speeds up. It spent 1 week at the dealer while I was out of town. They couldn’t duplicate it. The knocking seems intermittent. Some days yes, some days no. I don’t think this is normal.

These stupid 10 speed transmissions have an obnoxious whine to them when warm. Seems to be normal.

The knocking, however...not.

Hey there! I would like to assist with your engine knocking concern. Could you send over a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer info?

so engineer is allowing them to drop transmission to check both pumps as the whine was super loud and not within spec.. they’re also goung to domoul change to check for metal. I will keep
ypu updated. Please do same on yours with me.
