Hold the key fob on the upper driver side portion of the windshield while closing the door. It tricks the vehicle into thinking the key is still in the cabin.

I do this all the time with my Focus at the mailbox.

Wow, first world problems here! lol
FORScan can and will disable this feature and possibly open up other features.
Personally even though I have done some mods with FORScan, I didn't bother with the key honk feature, I just hold the key on the roof, slightly over the door and the car thinks the key is in the car...
Good luck!

Very annoying! My Audi A6 gives a clear interior alert that the car is running when I open the drivers door. It's all I need for the reminder. Can the system be changed to direct the alert to the inside? Is there an interior alert as well?
No interior alert. Just a super loud horn that wakes up neighbors and causes me to cuss every time it happens...

1. Yes, this loud-ass honk alert is annoying and startling.

2. You are not allowed to call it a “truck.”

3. My Forscan was snipped when I was an infant.

I looked through the owners manual, nothing! Just wondering if this is incredibly annoying to anyone else as it is to me. The horn is loud, no reason for that alert to be that loud! A simple chime would do it...Anyone agree or discover how to disable that?

Thank you!
Leave the door open and it won’t honk

Modern vehicle operator error?...you could always go back to keys and locks.

Simple solution is just leave the keys in the bronco at all times... and let me know where you are for no specific reason.
Mine actually honks when I’m sitting with the car running in park with my keys in my pocket and it has some alert that says no key detected. This happens constantly and the key is brand new so not a battery issue. Would love to lose these honk alerts.

They have this because of people that pull into their garage and forget to shut the engine off and never wake up again.

Apparently this is actually the #1 item people use ForScan for.

#2 is the stupid Auto Start/Stop

That is just nutty. Thank god my JL doesn't do that. I often use it for work and have a bunch of short stops where I have to get out. I leave it running with the key in my pocket - rather than have to restart it every 90 seconds-, safe in the knowledge it can't be put into gear while the key is out of the vehicle.
My first push button start - though my wife has had two - we've never left the any of them running unintentionally - is it really a common thing? Or are auto makers just being way too paranoid about consumer stupidity....even though it must be said - that is hard to over estimate....
