Inside of MIC top around rear side windows looks terrible. Was I expecting too much?

Took delivery of my 2023 OBX last week and love it! The only thing I was surprised about was how bad the finish is, or unfinished look appears inside the cargo area around the rear side windows. Is this normal? I've read and looked at some pics on Bronco6g and mine just looks worse to me. Has anyone done anything to make theirs look better. I've tried wiping the white looking stuff off but it doesn't help as it is part of the top. I was thinking about trying the Cerekote Plastic Trim Restorer sheets as they worked great on my F150.

Normal. But definitely subpar. After awhile you just accept it, the Bronco is a great rig. I would hesitate to try to 'fix' it. In a couple years Ford may decide or be forced to decide they done us wrong and give us all new Modular tops and maybe even throw in a 3.0 steering rack!! :D

I noticed that too. Also the panel where the bolts hold it down looks kinda warped to me

It's normal. The manufacturer came up with a new way to make a fiberglass top about as cheap as possible using automation, and it turns out it looks like that is the case.
Treat it like fiberglass though, not plastic, as it is not plastic. It's much more like fiberglass.

Y’all realize this is a $35,000 base vehicle that gets the same components as the $90,000 version…right?
^^^ Came here to say something similar,
but by the same token, they did screw the pooch on the MIC top, real bad.

Probably a better way to state the above is,
This is a $30K base vehicle and they use the same shitty parts all the way up to the top $90k version.

Mine was the same. I used Aerospace 303 on it and it looks much much better. Try 303 out before the cerakote stuff. It's good to have around anyways and you should use it on literally everything plastic or rubber on your car.
