What's the lowest pressure you'll run for a given tire wheel combination?
What's too low, and what is the story of how you found out?

For the 34.5" Goodyear Territory, it seems the conventional wisdom is no lower than 20psi on a heavy vehicle like the Bronco. Goodyear itself has told people no lower than 29psi.
my 2003 f350 6.0L diesel I ran at 10psi and that's a heavy vehicle on steel rims 35x12.5r17 I have never lost a bead and that's a heavy ass beast and I did some amazing offroading and rock crawling with it, in comparison the bronco is a paper clip, when loaded with gear and everything my f350 was 9800lbs

I have 285/70/17 KO2's and 15 seems to work pretty well for me. I usually air down to 12 and let it come up to 15 as I drive. Airing down and undoing the swaybar is as much about comfort for my passenger and myself as it is about the traction benefits.

Even the tiniest off-road sized tires (35") I'll go 10 psi.

22-25 on the muddy and rocky trails.

Take it to 18 if I'm struggling. I don't feel comfortable taking it any lower. Would hate to have to swap a tire and funky terrain.

Does the lowest pressure also vary based on tire? For example, could I run 18psi on my stock 32" Grabbers? Or do I need to run a bit higher because they are a smaller tire?

It can vary more on the tire manufacturer or the model of the tire than the size.

Have my deflators set at 18psi.

I've YET to need to go lower to get unstuck. Now that I've said it though......

My beach requires 11 psi for any vehicle, no problems at that with 285/75R17 on methods. The beach is <20 mph and no real concerns about side loading.

my 87 FSB was 5500# loaded and ran a number of different tires over 23 years. On 35x12.5R15 I dented two steel wheels in Moab down at 12 psi on Cliff Hanger. 14 psi in the rocks seemed to be a sweet spot on slick rock. When I went to 35x12.5R17 I kept it up at 16 psi due to the decrease in sidewall. 20 psi was great for fire roads.

Looking at these numbers ill probably re set my air down stuff to 18-20 or so, I was doing 22psi before.
If you're using a deflator like the Stauns, here's my tip to setting new pressures: use a bicycle tire - you'll save a lot of time.

18-20 worked beautifully in Moab, the Safari trail leaders said that was the sweet spot on the slick rock. I've had the Goodyears down to 12 other times.

Spent all day Saturday at 15 lbs on rocky and steep roads with no issues at all.
