my 2003 f350 6.0L diesel I ran at 10psi and that's a heavy vehicle on steel rims 35x12.5r17 I have never lost a bead and that's a heavy ass beast and I did some amazing offroading and rock crawling with it, in comparison the bronco is a paper clip, when loaded with gear and everything my f350 was 9800lbsWhat's the lowest pressure you'll run for a given tire wheel combination?
What's too low, and what is the story of how you found out?
For the 34.5" Goodyear Territory, it seems the conventional wisdom is no lower than 20psi on a heavy vehicle like the Bronco. Goodyear itself has told people no lower than 29psi.
It can vary more on the tire manufacturer or the model of the tire than the size.Does the lowest pressure also vary based on tire? For example, could I run 18psi on my stock 32" Grabbers? Or do I need to run a bit higher because they are a smaller tire?
If you're using a deflator like the Stauns, here's my tip to setting new pressures: use a bicycle tire - you'll save a lot of time.Looking at these numbers ill probably re set my air down stuff to 18-20 or so, I was doing 22psi before.
i used my spare to set them, but that is a good idea for sure.If you're using a deflator like the Stauns, here's my tip to setting new pressures: use a bicycle tire - you'll save a lot of time.
