FWIW, I just started at removing the back with the seat in the vehicle. Was a Little tricky to see the wiring disconnect enough to unsnap it, but not an obstacle.Front Seat Lumbar Assembly
Special Tool(s) / General Equipment
Interior Trim Remover
- Detach the front seat electrical connector retainer and position the wiring harness aside.
- Detach the front seat backrest cover straps and position the front seat backrest cover aside.
Seats with soft back panel
- Lift the front seat backrest cover flap.
- Release the front seat backrest cover hook-and-loop strips.
- Unzip the front seat backrest cover.
- Lift the front seat backrest cover.
- Release the front seat backrest cover retainers.
Seats with hard back panel
- Detach the retainers and pull the front seat backrest panel away from the front seat backrest.
- Release the front seat backrest panel retainers.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
- Pull the front seat backrest panel away from the front seat backrest.
Remove the front seat backrest panel.
- Pull the front seat backrest panel down and out.
- Position the front seat backrest panel anti-squeak flap aside.
All seats
- If equipped with manual adjusting lumbar.
Position the front seat lumbar assembly cable away from the front seat track.
- Detach the front seat lumbar assembly cable retainer.
- Detach the front seat lumbar assembly cable from the front seat lumbar actuator.
- Release the front seat lumbar assembly cable from the front seat lumbar actuator.
Remove the front seat lumbar assembly.
- If equipped with manual adjusting lumbar.
Detach the front seat lumbar assembly cable retainer.
- Detach the upper J-hooks.
- Detach the middle J-hooks.
- Detach the lower J-hooks.
- If required.
Remove the screws and front seat lumbar actuator.Installation
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
