According to my dealer here in New York, front license plate brackets are now coming installed straight from the factory. Anyone else hear the same that took delivery in the last few days?

I picked up mine yesterday and despite multiple reminders to not install the front license bracket this is how she was delivered. Dealer says that’s how it rolled off the transport truck.
That is unfortunate, as your dealer is definitely lying to you. The bracket most definitely does not come from the factory installed. As you have read in all the responses, not installing the bracket by the dealer has been done for most of us.
I would suggest that you talk to the GM, and let them know they need to replace the front facia that they drilled into.
Either that or they provide you with the equivilant in the cost to replace the facia as a deduction on your price of the vehicle.
Good luck and let us know how it pans out.

Same experience here as most have reported. Live in CA, front plates required, dealer asked if I wanted it installed and I said no, and they did not drill it, just left the plate bracket in the back of the truck. Took delivery less than 2 weeks ago.

Thanks for all the replies and insight. I’ll be taking this up with my dealer.

I have never seen so much agreement in one thread ever. Dealer lies are the ties that bind.

Now, can we get back to arguing? There’s got to be a 2-door vs 4-door angle someone can take here …
How about “4 doors are worse than front license plate brackets.”😊

Picked up this past Monday - saw it on Saturday and they even handed me the bracket to take home so no one would accidentally install it during prep. Running no bracket until my custom plates come in or I get pulled over - whichever happens first then going with my DV8 bracket - had to get creative with spacers and longer bolts though - supposedly not an issue on non-Raptor mod bumper.

I requested my dealer to not install it because I had plans for a winch bumper. I like how the aftermarket bracket hides the Factor 55 hook.

Thanks for this, I am actually more concerned about the long metal brackets anchored at right angles to the plate. In the demo video the plate is removed with the long brackets that slide into the mount under the truck. Presumably these would not fit under the seat.

My tip is to write it on the sales agreement!

Something the effect of "dealer not to install front plat bracket at the request of buyer"

"Dealer agrees to replace any front trim damaged by front plate bracket being accidently or intentionally installed by either the dealership or assembly plant"

Smart suggestion. Wish I had done that.

Another case of "My Dealer Says" (popularized as a drinking game on here a couple of years ago)

They are feeding you a line of BS because they installed it despite your request and are trying not to be held at fault to replace that lower fascia. LOADS of us in NY have received our Broncos with no factory plate mount. I included a request to NOT do that with every communication I made with my Salesperson. He even posted a notice on my truck. It blows that they did this to you.

I don't run a front plate....OR A REAR PLATE EITHER! NO plates for me...tickets are cheaper than the fast lane fees around here.

Does anyone have a photo of where the front plate is suppose to install on the regular base model front bumper? I'm having trouble finding a sample image, and there are no pre-fab holes I can find on the bumper. I have a plastic bracket, but unclear where it mounts.

the stock holder mounts into the front fascia between the top of the bumper and bottom of the grill. it's in the painted area.

it doesn't mount into the bumper

Ok thanks, I just took a screen shot from a video, and looks like the location you mentioned:

I'd rather not install that high. Will have to try modding further down on the bumper, without hanging down too far, else it will catch on a trail.
