Our BBQ get together at Chrispy's dealership while we're debating the thread of which we don't speak of elsewhere.Didn't you know trolls are from Norway?
Looks like funOur BBQ get together at Chrispy's dealership while we're debating the thread of which we don't speak of elsewhere.
I'd love one, even though I don't own a gun yet xDyou throwing in a free AR-15 with each Bronco purchase?
Exactly. They got nothing on us anyway, those trashy eurosIt's funny. Not even 5 years ago, Europeans would say Americans are too lazy or don't know how to drive stick. Now that the numbers show otherwise and more manuals are sold here than Europe, they make themselves out to be the auto master race. I'll take my guns, my stick shift, and my freedom. GTFO
Have a reference for those numbers?... Now that the numbers show otherwise and more manuals are sold here than Europe ...
No, but you are right. I should clarify that there are more enthusiast manual options here (over 30 options I believe), but there are wayyyyy more manuals as a whole sold in Europe comparatively. This Land Rover guy does not make sense.Have a reference for those numbers?
Well the big reasons why people want a manual is because they are better with offroading, maintenance, and in general are way more reliable than an automatic. Plus they make the vehicle cheaper to purchaseWhy? It is decades ago that manual transmissions had any advantage over automatics. Back when automatic transmissions were sluggish and made the car less fuel efficient. Today it is the other way around.
Im from Europe and I grew up with manual transmission cars. Its nothing special at all. It does not have any advantage over an automatic other than being cheaper. Its not fun to drive a manual, its just a little annoyance that Im used to since forever. And luckily we have a better option today in Automatic transmissions that is better in every way. I see no need in Ford offering a manual in the New Bronco.
I'll take option b, though I could see 5th being more like 0.83 and 6th more like 0.65. 0.58 might be a bit extreme for what will be a pretty unaerodynamic vehicle. What’s everyone thinking on ratios??
rear 4.10
a ......... b
L- 6.30
1 - 4.15. 3.60
2- 2.60 2.10
3 - 1.70 1.50
4 - 1.30 1.00
5 - 1.00 0.70
6 - 0.80 0.58
R - 4.15
Toyota Tacoma runs 0.58. That’s the only reason I took it that far. and odds are the bronco will have more torque. (A lot)I'll take option b, though I could see 5th being more like 0.83 and 6th more like 0.65. 0.58 might be a bit extreme for what will be a pretty unaerodynamic vehicle.
