I was also around a 6/9 build date. Also on the old incorrect dipstick. Though oil is well above the max mark so I'm guessing the factory put in 7. I'll probably change the oil earlier than normal just to have peace of mind knowing exactly 7 goes in.

Is Ford replacing these for free yet?
I am going to turn it into my Dealer as a warranty issue and ask that they order me the new replacement. If not....I will use Ford Pass points to buy it.
This should be a Service Bulletin to all Dealers!

According to the parts program we use, the new style is used in vehicles built 5/9/22 and later. It's entirely possible Broncos on either side of that date could have the other style just because some build date breaks are not absolutely 100% accurate. The dead giveaway is the old style has an "H" on the top of the pull and the new has a black triangle.
Mine was built on 6-19. I just got it 3 days ago. IT STILL HAS THE OLD "H" DIPSTICK FROM THE FACTORY.

Literally nobody has these. I ordered from 3 websites that were all canceled, I called 38 dealers across the US and there's one, robert horne ford, in Arizona that has a few, but won't ship even to another dealer, without an explanation. I even offered them $50 over the price to ship it. Their parts manager is a joke. If anyone lives near them I will pay you to buy it and ship it to me.

Please ford get on this! I just had my oil changed at a ford dealership and they filled it to the line, 6 quarts. I had to tell them to check specs and they fixed it, but they had no idea about the issue.

I got out my Dremel and notched the stick at the 7 quart level during my first oil change. Problem solved.
I did the same thing and then my stick came in. 🤷‍♂️

I didn't read back through all 18 pages here, but would this not be something Ford should issue (free) replacements for? Why the heck should I have to buy a new dipstick, because some dipstick put the incorrect part on our vehicles?

What is the engine build date? Pic of the tag on the valve cover?
I will need to go look. Did not think of that.....

I get my oil changes for free with the maintenance warranty. I feel it'd be eeasier just to get the right dipstick.

My 2 changes so far handled by dealer, I assume they put in 7, I honestly have not checked. My other car has no dipstick so I am spoiled (BMW)

Don't be so sure. I just had my oil done on my F150 2.7l at a large Ford dealer. Quickly glanced at my work order and it says 7 quarts. Sure enough they put 7 in and it only requires 6. I drained a quart out and it was still over full a bit so I took out another 1/4 qt and it sits right at full, so I doubt they waited long enough for the drain.
I am still flabbergasted that this could happen. There must be at least a million F150's with the 2.7l and I'm sure they do oil changes on these all day long. Neither the tech or the service advisor caught it?
