I’m honestly fine with dealerships making money, but dealer markup (beyond MSRP) is a no-go for something that I preorder.

These guys that actually work at dealerships that are posting on here tell people they don’t want them as customers have absolutely no tact and I hope to god they are just trolls and not actually allowed to sell car at Ford dealerships.

I know corporate Ford reads these forums, but I sure hope they are paying attention to the action and behavior being demonstrated on these forums and punishing dealers that do this stuff. Dealerships can hurt your brand more than you think Ford....especially when there are dozens of other car manufacturers out there.

I guess I still believe in the America I want to believe in where loyalty and supporting my local salespeople at Ford mean something bigger than $17 less a month on a payment. If you need to go to Texas and buy a car from random people at a random dealership to save $17 then you probably should not be buying this vehicle.

This nsquiklifestyle guy is a real gem. I usually get along pretty well with most salesmen, hell even the tough manager guys that come play bad cop aren't that bad. But damn, those finance guys can be tricky. Lately, every time I buy a car, making the deal is the easy part. Then you get to the finance "manager" and boy they get mad when you just repeat no a million times to all the stupid shit they try and "protect" you with... Who the hell wants or needs vin etching, mx plans, paint protection, extended warranties, blah, blah, blah. It takes hours for them to give up on all their sales pitches and let you sign the papers!

In a similar position, what is your Waterloo for BL vs. wildtrac?

BL wins, wash/out floors and Disconnect. No need for carpet, throw in mats, i tried not to loose sight of what I was trying to accomplish here. An on and off road, Definitely not Lux! But up to it.

It's not about the Dealer, It's about me. I don't care if they'll worry about it or not. I've lived all over the world in the last 35 years, so I couldn't care less about local dealer "perks" that I'll never get a chance to use. However, I do value honesty and integrity. I don't have Warren Buffet money, but I have achieved a certain amount of financial independence. I still get to decide who gets my money, and I will based on those two attributes that I mentioned previously. YMMV
