I’m sorry if it offends you to have to do something. No, of course not! You don’t need to reach out to anyone.
What? How did you interpret my question? Im not offended, im asking a question because i dont know how the group buy works.

Ford giving us a second reservation move and extended it through January really helped out negotiation abilities. With a bunch of dealerships offering invoice pricing, it is going to be harder for a dealership to charge over MSRP.

Don't use up your reservations until you are face to face with the dealership with your B&P in hand, ready to order.

When I buy vehicles, I don't deal with sales people, I deal with management with whom I can have a professional and transparent conversation with. They can pull out their Invoice/MSRP sheets along with the option/accessories sheets that show Invoice and MSRP pricing. These folks have the on-the-spot authority to make commitments and either we can come to an agreement fairly quickly, or not. I live in a mid size city where mfg promotional dollars may not be as high as the large metro markets such as LA or the Bay Area, thus leaving my local dealers at a disadvantage. I don't hold out our local dealers for every last dollar, but as long as they are competitive and willing to work with me, I prefer to keep my business local. Where I do develop relationships is with a specific service dept advisor. I get preferential treatment not needing to make service appointments, being discounted on every service needed, and not being up-sold for unneeded services. I keep my cars a long time, currently 12+ yrs on one and almost 8 yrs on the other and my experience is that there is employee turnover in the new car sales unit incl management between vehicle purchases. These are Honda products, so I'll need to establish new relationships with the local Ford dealer once my Bronco is delivered.

You are unable to fathom "nebulous" concepts such as loyalty because you are not a former marine.
Well I hope your salesman gives you a firm salute and a rousing Semper Fi while he takes you to the cleaners

I guess I still believe in the America I want to believe in where loyalty and supporting my local salespeople at Ford mean something bigger than $17 less a month on a payment. If you need to go to Texas and buy a car from random people at a random dealership to save $17 then you probably should not be buying this vehicle.
I guess you could also put it vice-versa...if the local dealer doesn't believe in supporting the local buyer to the point that they'll lose the deal over less than $17 a month, forcing the buyer to seek out someone who is loyal and supportive of their own buyers, then they probably shouldn't be selling this vehicle.

I do that every time, and I still always get to hangout with the finance guy, they say it's just to sign the paperwork, but they always try to upsale me, and even run my credit trying to "find me a lower rate".
...They don't need your SS number to sign the paperwork...I think I'd rather go to the dentist..than to see the finance guy...

Are you one? I just have never seen a Marine write it multiple times and fail to capitalize it as it is supposed to be written.

I am one by the way, and I believe the concept of loyalty being nebulous was in context of dealing with a car dealer, and in that context only, and not that it always is. I agree with that 100%.

That's awesome! Teach me the ways of not seeing a finance guy? I thought that was mandatory, like the final boss in video games...
Well, I've used the same sales guy for 17 years and bought multiple vehicles and referred him 20-30 other customers over the years. I am an acquaintance of the owner of the dealership group as well. I asked for and received no hassle stuff after that first experience. Last purchase in December was done all via phone and text. Wife went and picked up vehicle and salesman brought all paperwork to my office to sign.

But I'm still going to get something in writing for my Bronco pricing. I'll go 6 miles away to Stephens to save 2-3K and I've told my sales guy that!

Nope.
I just looked not on page 2 or 3.
page 6 states Norm Reeves Ford in Cerritos, CA.

Edit: Seems he may have moved on to Bob Wondries Ford based on other posters comment.
