Picked up my 2023 Bronco Outer Banks on Mar. 16th. Setup Fordpass same day, everything was working fine. But, on Mar. 22nd, the Bronco wasn't connecting to the internet, the icon (arrows) was not appearing, and the Bronco would not communicate with the Fordpass app.
It was odd since everything was working earlier in the day, and I even received confirmation of my Fordpass points for purchasing the new vehicle.

Spoke to Fordpass rep and got this:
"I do see the modem has stopped responding inside the vehicle.

This is a known issue that we are currently working on with 23 Broncos as well as the 23 F-150s losing connection. This is a modem issue our engineers are trying to fix.

We have been advised that there is supposed to be an over the air update released to fix the connectivity issues released next month but we do not know the exact date at this time.

There is a service message reflecting your vehicle for this particular issue."

Then the agent provided this service message number: SSM 51458.
She also said to have automatic updates set to "ON".

So hopefully we get a fix in April!
If any of you receive the update or have any more info, please update this thread.

Another question is, I wonder if we will be compensated for this somehow, as there are freebies like Alexa, Streaming, etc.
Here's an update y'all (March 28, 2023) I received the update (4.2.1), Modem is working again!

Apparently this issue can eat the battery in the Bronco and leave it completely dead. Mine has been at the dealer since Wednesday. Flip sent me a new TSB (23-2108) that just came out for the issue on 3/30 but the dealer is not wanting to do it because they haven't seen the Bronco die themselves.

I need to have it back by this coming Friday so I'm hoping the dealer will just do it by then.

This just started a couple days ago. I get this error when I start the car. Also, ford pass stopped connecting at the same time, so no auto start. Carplay still works fine through my phone.

I got this message this weekend on my 2023 WT built in June 2023. Mine is after the TSB. Apparently they didn't fix it.

I used to get this daily on my 23 bronco wildtrak, but haven't seen it in several months.

I know probably not what those having problems want to hear, but I think maybe the updates have fixed some people.

Have you seen updates get applied automatically, and are you up to date with all the otas?

Bumping this thread because I get this almost daily - I also haven't had Alexa work for me in months, I feel like it only worked for maybe 2 at the beginning and I know my plan *should* allow it.

have you had it into the dealer? This hasn't been a thing for us for many months now. Seems to just work. May need to just get updated, and if its anything like other Sync updates, it may not be automatic, or may not just work in an ota update
