anyone else radio go straight to static when running the ditch lights?

I grounded them right to the cowl panel with a factory ground is that the issue?

This happened to me when I had the Stubby antenna installed. Put stock back on and doesn't happen anymore.

We have the stock antenna. I have to wait until I get mine back from the dealer but I don’t think mine has the interference. Same lights only difference is I don’t have Aux switches so mine are fed off the rear fog light switch.

Sounds like a grounding issue with not enough AWG for the resistance. what AWG is your ground wire and is it sharing the same ground as another piece of equipment that is consistently "on"

Cheap chinesium unshielded LED lights are notorious for this, along with backup camera static. What brand of lights?

I run diodes for ditch. They do it with the trek antenna. Stock antenna is fine.

Where did you ground them? Although mine are grounded to the same spot on both vehicles. Maybe I just missed it on mine. The ditch lights will probably never be a problem. But the Amber fogs may get used on road.

I used the grounding point by the driver side cowl for both lights

I’m going to be installing some ambient lighting on another Aux switch soon. I’ll see if that has the same effect

Electromagnetic interference is likely the culprit. Try getting some ferrite clamps for the wires.

Clamp one around each set of positive and negative wires.
